    LOL!

*edit*-wrote something, but this is funny on its own merit.

Sorry to the trolls but if your guy is Myles Softner I'm not taking any of your input seriously

Talk to me when you get off the Softner Republic services truck

24 years old healthy stars don't come available that often so here is the chance for Pacers to make some noise happen, so get Ben Simmons Pritchard !!!

Oh, sure....The Pacers mgmt would just have to absurb his $146.5M contract from 2021/22 thru 2024/25 where the lowest he gets paid is $33M for 2021/22 alone. Now, there is a silver lining here. The Pacers only have three players under guaranteed contracts thru 2022/23 (Brogdon, Turner and JHola) and one thru 2023/24Sabonis). for a combined $64.8M. They'd be paying four players over 4-years the equivalent of half of what they'd be paying one player under his current contract (through 2025) for 2-years!

Yeah, the Pacers are cheap but they are crazy!! There's no way Herb Simons would pay that kind of money for one player. He's not going to absorb a $146.5M contract. Hell, he won't even accept paying half of that for one player. Forget about it!

There is also the fact he scored 42 points without shooting a 3 that s*** is amazing and very hard to do.

He has a bad jumper and free throw problems. That can be improved. If he develops a jump shot he becomes a HOF.
I don't care how good he is on defense, in the modern NBA if you are a PG you have to be able to shoot beyond 10ft and be respectable from the free throw line.

Simmons isn't an elite player, he's just paid like one. The most important skill in the NBA is still shooting. You can't be a PG, or damn near any position, and be a complete non-threat from more than 10 feet. He's 5 of 34 from 3 in 9326 minutes of basketball, and he misses free throws at an elite level. The funny thing is the people calling for Simmons are the ones who would crucify him the most for being, well, Ben Simmons.

That being said, I will default to my initial post. I agree with most of what you have said. The Pacers have to gamble in order to improve this Team and one of the key things that the Pacers have to fix is not having a floor general to run the offense through.

If it costs the Pacers Myles ( or Brogdon ) + Lamb + Justin ( and maybe even Aaron ) while getting back Philly's 1st along with Simmons? I'd strongly consider it.

    Anything more? Pass.
