I trust Sabo/Ben's basketball IQ to make it work.

You’re comparing 3 players that can mesh and play together due to their offense. Kyrie has played with LeBron and both Harden and KD have played with Russ. A Simmons and Sabo is going to be a Zion and Adams type of fit. Both players occupy the same space. You can’t even run a pick and roll between both players because neither are going to hurt you from beyond 12 feet.

I seriously doubt that a Pacers/Simmons trade would be isolated to just the Pacers and Sixers. Outside teams ALWAYS wants to somehow get involved in trades like this. Look at how big the whole Harden to Nets and Westbrook to Lakers trade ended up being.

I don't expect for the Pacers to really get Simmons, but I do expect KP to try to get involved as the 3rd or 4th Team to help facilitate the eventual trade.

The Pacers could end up getting Simmons but the Starting lineup is gutted where we are left with a broken down TJ Warren, Myles and/or Sabonis.

I wouldn't worry too much about "fit" next to a Player like Simmons THIS SEASON since there will likely have to be some huge changes to the roster to build around a totally different Player.

I'm just suggesting not to freak out if the Pacers somehow trade for Simmons and this roster looks like a total mess.

The likely that 8 to 9 man rotation for this season should be considered a huge "work in progress" for next season and that the time to really judge what the Pacers have is after the Summer of 2022 ( not this but next Offseason ).

Brogdon and Duarte have to be off the table, otherwise what you've got left is disastrous spacing. I'm glad Philly rejected our supposed first offer. Unless Seth Curry is part of the trade (I'd do that), those two are not moveable. Sabo or Turner + anyone else besides the already mentioned two + 1 pick.

If we trade Brogdon and Myles/LeVert....we have Duarte TJ Warren Lamb Holiday and Brissett @ about 40% from 3p.

If you want to maximize Ben and not cap both players you move Domas. Running both Ben and Domas and you get more problems then Ben and Joel since Domas both players aren’t a threat from beyond the paint

Pretty much you trade for Ben you have to trade Domas. Now you have to acquire shooters and scorers like Hield or other players. Also if we are trading for Ben I’m not giving up Brogdon. I’ll send LeVert, Warren and Lamb for Ben and Curry
