GET BEN SIMMONS PRITCHARD !!!!

You’re comparing 3 players that can mesh and play together due to their offense. Kyrie has played with LeBron and both Harden and KD have played with Russ. A Simmons and Sabo is going to be a Zion and Adams type of fit. Both players occupy the same space. You can’t even run a pick and roll between both players because neither are going to hurt you from beyond 12 feet. -
Your first example is very poor, all shooters from anywhere on the court. The second one has some merit, but barely. And given my concerns I would still take the chance if it meant getting Simmons. In any Simmons trade Duarte to me is untouchable, due to his contract and his shooting skills
I trust Sabo/Ben's basketball IQ to make it work.

I don't expect for the Pacers to really get Simmons, but I do expect KP to try to get involved as the 3rd or 4th Team to help facilitate the eventual trade.Leave a comment:

Keep in mind that if the Pacers were somehow able to trade for Simmons, the likelihood is that they would end up trading ( at least ) 2 of the 3 Starting Guards and Forwards and maybe even one of either Myles ( likely ) or Sabonis to a 3rd Team ( to acquire enough assets to entice the Sixers ).
The Pacers could end up getting Simmons but the Starting lineup is gutted where we are left with a broken down TJ Warren, Myles and/or Sabonis.
I wouldn't worry too much about "fit" next to a Player like Simmons THIS SEASON since there will likely have to be some huge changes to the roster to build around a totally different Player.
I'm just suggesting not to freak out if the Pacers somehow trade for Simmons and this roster looks like a total mess.
The likely that 8 to 9 man rotation for this season should be considered a huge "work in progress" for next season and that the time to really judge what the Pacers have is after the Summer of 2022 ( not this but next Offseason ).
The only way I see one of our bigs being included is if the deal is expanded to include a third or fourth team. Otherwise, other deals will certainly follow over the course of this transition year.Leave a comment:

Will you feel the same if the only way to get Simmons is to trade Sabonis to a 3rd Team to acquire the necessary assets to send him to Indy?Leave a comment:

WHat the?
If we trade for Simmons & that trade doesn't include Sabo... then what 3 players are we gonna have left that shoot 40% from 3? We might have one if we are lucky?
Brogdon and Duarte have to be off the table, otherwise what you've got left is disastrous spacing. I'm glad Philly rejected our supposed first offer. Unless Seth Curry is part of the trade (I'd do that), those two are not moveable. Sabo or Turner + anyone else besides the already mentioned two + 1 pick.Leave a comment:

If we trade Brogdon and Myles/LeVert....we have Duarte TJ Warren Lamb Holiday and Brissett @ about 40% from 3p.Leave a comment:

i mean would be extremely funny if a prima donna with a busted *** jump shot came to Indiana and delivered us back to the conference finals after all the talk about the three T's and basketball fundamentals lol
for the record, i want us to trade for ben simmons just so i can feel somethingLeave a comment:

If you want to maximize Ben and not cap both players you move Domas. Running both Ben and Domas and you get more problems then Ben and Joel since Domas both players aren’t a threat from beyond the paintLeave a comment:

You do not have to trade Domas if you trade for Ben, that is a silly notion.Leave a comment:

Yea it's quite a bit different actually. I'd like to hear someone explain how they think these guys could coexist in the halfcourt. You can't run pick and rolls or DHOs with those 2 guys. The defenders would just stand 6 feet back. You'd have to get really creative to put a competent halfcourt offense together. It'll be even harder to do if we trade away our shooters.Leave a comment:
