Crap, that kind of blows because I don't know how good we will be next season. I wonder if there are any protections on it or not?

likely in the 17-22 range. fine with it.

Brogdon is absolutely as much of Pritchard's long term goal for the Pacers as much as Vic. Brogdon is now the highest paid and longest outstanding contract on the team.

he's a cornerstone. it's him, Vic, and Myles. these are now the 3 you build everything else around going forward. Brogdon's youth and versatility and just being really good is a really good get when you consider it in that regard. now, about his foot...lol

what are the 2 2nds we're sending? they the Miami ones? cuz those basically don't exist lol

it's 2020 Pacers 1st (unprotected?) and 2 2nds that are our own or Miami's and whatever combo right?

cuz I don't know if anyone has noticed but there's a **** show going on in Miami.

Don't like that. One injury and Vic struggles to get back to speed and this group could end up in the back end of the lottery next year.

Still love the Brogdon deal. Great PG to pair with both Vic & Holiday and just a great fit for this organization and culture..

Yes it is. One FA isn't a team budget. One contract doesn't suddenly mean all of those worries were unjustified. The most the Pacers have spent on an FA is 21 mil a year and Jamal Murray just got 34 mil a year. It's not about how you are spending in a vacuum. It's about how you are spending vs your peers in the league.

We indeed forked out a lot for Brogdon. I’ve never thought the Pacers were not willing to pay. Yet we had the money because Bojan who signed a pretty hefty contract is off the payroll. I see some nice additions and some unfortunate subtractions. I think we are looking at status quo not something like the time that we got George Hill in David West.

My 2 cents: he was the 3rd best player on a 60-win team. 50/40/90 sharpshooter that can create shots off the dribble. He’s well worth the contract.... if his feet hold up. That’s the only thing you hold your breath over. Foot problems are worse than knee problems for NBA players in a way because they’re often chronic.

The player is fantastic, though. No development needed; he’s already a star.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Dude tore his plantar fascia, which is a fairly common but not threatening injury. Austin Croshere had one back in the day.

Coincidentally, he had a bigger injury two seasons ago. He tore his quad muscle on a fast break...similar to Vic.

It's a big move. I like it. Good job, front office.

Pretty much this for me but with a caveat, that being Brogdon looks like a perfect fit so I think I'll upgrade it to a great move.

If the pick is next year that is some risk. I hope its protected.

I hope we find another 1st round or get our pick back.

Yep Giannis makes huge guys look like babies, only players I saw last year that were capable of kind of stopping him were Siakam/Kwahi/Thad that's it.

There is also this dream Sabo can run with Giannis full court GTFO.

Check the video and notice how small Collison, CoJo, and Vic look in comparison to Brogdon. He bullied CoJo multiple times during this game. I love how physical he is when getting to the basket.
