Rumor is that Kanon Catchings might or has already decommitted, with IU a possible destination

Summary of the hot rumors:
TKR (especially) and Furst are waiting to see if Edey comes back - if he does, there is a good chance one or both will enter the portal. Purdue class of 2024 commit Kanon Catchings, now a 5-star recruit who rose dramatically into the top 20 of 24/7's most recent recruit ratings (which would make him Painter's highest-rated recruit ever) is wanting to reclassify into the class of 2023, and because of the logjam in the frontcourt at Purdue, is either considering, or already has, decommitted from Purdue
And, rumor also has it that Edey is going to return, which could set off a chain-reaction of events, e.g., TKR and/or Furst enter the portal, opening up a spot and playing time for Catchings, who would then stay committed to Purdue

No news is good news in regards to Kanon Catchings but time will tell
Boilers get a commit from Raleigh Burgess, 6-10 4 star power forward out of Cincinnati to join Catchings and Benter in the class of 2024
Hunter Dickinson commits to Kansas

2024 5-star Purdue recruit Kanon Catchings signs with Overtime Elite. He's still committed to Purdue but that's one I'm not going to bank on til I see him in a Purdue uniform

It was about this time last year that I asked
Does Zac Edey have another level?
It turns out that he did, even if it was subtle as something that he could play 30 minutes a game without getting into foul trouble
This year I'm asking the same question
And I believe if he does, it's going to be something similarly subtle, perhaps with his passing?Comment

I think being able to guard the 3 would enhance his chances of making it to the next level but I don't really see either happening
His passing though, dude should have the best view of anybody on the court, saw him make some nice skip passes in the first game, didn't see last night's game but it all gets real very quickly with Xavier and Gonzaga next up
Curious as to what the rotation is going to be, will Painter run 10? I don't see Colvin being the odd man out. Morton was out sick against Morehead but he's always been a favorite of Painter. Gillis hustles too much to not play. If they go 9 maybe Heide sits but he's looked really good and he's maybe the 2nd best athlete on the team after Colvin?
I love Brian Waddell but he sure seems like a candidate to hit the portal after the season. Big logjam here and he could be getting lots of playing time elsewhereComment
