Hard Knocks: Regular Season came one year too soon. Like I would DIE to see the meeting where Irsay offered Jeff the job.

We're gonna find out like twenty years from now that Saturday made a remark after yesterday's game that he could do a better job coaching and Irsay took him up on it or something crazy like that.

A good head coach will trust his offensive and defensive coordinators to do their job. He'll have input and the final decision is his, but let the other people do their job. The HC pulls it all together.

A good manager doesn't necessarily know how to do the jobs of everyone under them, but can motivate and organize the whole show.

Larry Bird for example. He let his assistants run the huddle during a time out.

It may not be the reach we think it is. Give him a chance.

Oh, I think it's definitely a reach. Doesn't mean it won't work but it's a reach. No track record at all will always be a reach.
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

This is the kind of bizarre hire that can easily backfire like I mentioned... the team, that has been underachieving, rallies around the interim coach and tptb gets put in a position to keep the interim hc. Then the honeymoon wears off and things are worse than ever.

The problem is we have no offensive line, no running game, a QB who has started 2 games, and a brutal schedule. I donโ€™t think any coach on Earth can come in and make much of a difference in the W-L column.

MAYBE Saturday could light a fire under the putrid offensive line since that was his position. And then turn water into wine after thatโ€ฆ

Don't be silly you know Peyton let it go to voicemail and ghosted him afterwards pretending he never heard of such a thing..

Honestly without the Manning era we would be on the level of the Browns and Commanders as far as organizational dysfunction.

I love Jeff but I don't get why they would do this he's a HS football coach. Now if he were to coach the offensive line great but beyond that? No.

I also think they should've waited till the end of the season to fire Frank because at least that is better than this decision.

Even bringing back Bruce Arians or Chuck Pagano would be better.

Watching Irsay's press conference, I believe he just said that he and Ballard would hoist the championship trophy some day, Ballard's job is safe?

Irsay is saying that he's glad Saturday doesn't have any NFL coaching experience because that means he won't be afraid

Ballard at the mic, says they've tried to hire Saturday a couple of times previously, in 2019 and earlier this year. Says Jeff has excellent leadership qualities and is a good fit

Irsay back on the mic, rambling now, talking about how many shots Michael Jordan missed in his career

Has there ever been a center that become a head coach?
