It wouldn't be the most surprising thing ever. These recent Colts have a knack for disappointing when they are expected to win (though that's changed right now because no one expects much of anything in any game), while pulling out big wins against quality opponents like SF/Buffalo/NE/Arizona last year, or KC this year.

It's crazy to think that we went to Buffalo a year ago and absolutely throttled them in their stadium lol.

Saturday hire is strange. On the bright sight Jeff really knows football. One the best on ESPN. Played with Peyton one of the best ever. Played for Dungy one the best ever. O-Line coach Howard Mudd one of the best ever.

Hope it works. If not we'll get a better pick. Win Win.

Jeff Saturday brought up the no fear thing again today in his presser. What's up with that? Seems to be the team mantra now. I'm starting to think Irsay is a Penta El Zero Miedo fan

Saturday also shut down Gregg Doyel cold, which was pretty amusing

Well, the Colts are never boring. Even when they are boring on the field. Unlike the Pacers, you know heads are going roll when things are going the wrong direction. And ultimately, a mediocre record and bad performances would not lead to spin and "stay the course". Irsay might still claim to see a path to the playoffs, but he isn't claiming that while maintaining the status quo that clearly had NO shot at the playoffs.

              It's not "We're .500! Yay!!!" It's "F!!! We're only .500!" Having 500 still in their sights wasn't good enough.
And slipping below that now, playing like the played, with the path they were SUPPOSED to be on, was not and never going to be good enough.

Now... as for Saturday on Sundays... I have no idea about that one. It's sooooo from left field that it's either a brilliant call, 4D chess, or throwing spaghetti at the wall on a down season when it doesn't matter anyway. A move to sell tickets in a season otherwise off the rails? Something more? Something less? Dunno...
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

Thankfully, some of our glaring mistakes were so bad that you donโ€™t even have to be a high school coach to spot them. Like when you have 3rd and goal at the 1 yard line and put your quaterback in shotgun so that you can take a 1 yard run and make it a 5 yard runโ€ฆโ€ฆeven though you have a garbage line and everyone knows youโ€™re running anyway.

So if Saturday can just inject some common sense that went out the window recently, that will be a start.

It would be next to impossible for the offense to be any worse.

Defense has actually been good despite constantly be putting in such garbage situations. It has to wear on those guys when they make a stop, only for the offense to turn it over or go 3 and out.

Things might not be better with Saturday, but itโ€™s hard to envision that they get much worseโ€ฆ.

Leonard on IR for the next 4 (at least).

He needs to go back to Darius. This Shaquille thing isn't working out for him.

I thought it was awesome. One of the best ones for a new coach I've seen. Not worth any win, of course. Saturday was put in a horrible situation.

I don't care if we lose the rest of the games. If he can show he can manage a game. Organize coaches daily duties. If he gains respect among the players and the other coaches. Generally looks like real head coach. Doesn't choke any one to death.

Hire him for next season. So he has a entire off season, draft, training camp, etc.

Someone brought up the possibility that Irsay must've watched Winning Time(the HBO series about the Showtime Lakers) and figured if the Lakers can hire a radio guy to coach the team(Pat Riley) he can do this.

That doesn't seem so strange to me tbh. No I don't think Jeff can do for the Colts what Riley did for the Lakers obviously..

                        Sign Minshew. Draft a tackle.

Now I'm curious. The betting money said Irsay forced Reich to bench Ryan. Could it be it really was Reich's decision and Irsay didn't like it?
