Problem with DC (as Flip Murray) he is not going to allow Pacers to be that bad.

I liked him as our backup when he was here before, but he's not a good starter. He's a fill in. His presence is not making this team any better than it was, just filling out the roster. Short term deal that's in line with the goal of being back to relevance within a couple years. Partial guarantee in year 2 means we can cut him loose if we get lucky enough to draft a top tier point next year.

My guess is his name was on that list they showed PG and he was like f*** no.

Needed to spend the money on somebody and guessing a small amount guaranteed the 2nd year...not a bad move.

I don't really see how this is a bad move, especially with the 2nd year only being a partial guarantee.

If someone can name a young point guard who pacers can get to develop I am willing to listen. But we needed someone who can play point guard.

Would have rather taken a stab at Cory Joseph.

My problem is Pacers are aiming to be mediocre, I want really bad or really good, DC makes Pacers mediocre.

Not bad for only one year fully guaranteed. He can still play. I'm guessing Toronto wanted GR III for Joseph. Our top 3 guards can score for sure. Now Ellis has to go.

I think the free agent market for the Pacers is pretty slim at the moment. Hayward's not walking through the door. So this doesn't bug me too much. I just hope the Pacers don't end up in the playoffs. It doesn't take much at this point.

Because Darren Collison took the Kings to the playoffs...still not going to be a great team unless Myles turns into Shaq this season.
