Interesting but probably ultimately meaningless fact of the day: Zach Edey is the first player to score at least 50 points, grab 40 rebounds and shoot 65% from the floor in the first two games of the tournament since Lew Alcindor in 1968

What I like is the way Cam Heide is playing. and suddenly Myles is getting minutes and actually smiling. Morton and Furst have pretty much dropped out of the rotation

What I want to know is, has TKR turned some kind of corner? Have they been holding him back or something in order to throw a new wrinkle into the offense going into the tournament? It's a small sample, just the 2nd half of the Grambling game and all of the Utah State game, but all of a sudden he's a legitimate threat on offense. Edey is actively looking for him on the double-teams and getting the quick pass to him, and they're running plays for him. Also, he's been a maniac on the offensive glass. If he keeps this up, how do you counter that if you're not UConn?

Fact of the day: 8 of the 10 consensus All-Americans are still in play, including the entire 1st team: Edey, RJ Davis, Tristen Newton, Dalton Knecht, Jamal Shead & 2nd-teamers Kyle Filipowski, Tyler Kolek, and Mark Sears

Out: Hunter Dickinson & DaRon Holmes II (Dayton)

I just can't help but to think that losing to a 16 seed ultimately was a good thing. Purdue KNOWS they can lose if they overlook anybody or don't bring their A game for all facets of the games.
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

yeah maybe, but we were out there losing to 15 and 14 seeds too, so it's not like we didn't have warning before last year...

i think the bigger difference is the lance jones upgrade over jenkins, and the extra year experience for the sophomores....

Watched some ILL-UCONN highlights...if we get the PUR-UCONN matchup, it looks like it will be Oaf vs Oaf with this Klingon guy... have to like our chances with our larger Oaf ... not to jinx anything tho, it's a long way away...

I just think last year everyone, including Purdue, had them in the Final Four. Last year was 'the' year... until it wasn't. And that reality check, which is experience, along with game experience, upgrades, and maturity might actually play into their favor.

But, there's still a game Sunday to be concerned with.

I can see NC State beating Purdue I feel better about Duke tbh since Coach K is no longer there.

                              Well-deserved Purdue run.
