Hey this is all on the owner IMO. He forced them to trade a good QB for a washed up one and use more draft capital to do it . Just because.

Good QB? Not sure about that. Washed up current QB? I can agree with that.

Wentz could give you some good with the bad. This has just been straight up bad.

Trading Wentz was the correct decision.
          Trading for Ryan is meh.
Not bringing in WR depth is irresponsible.
Not finding a quality starting LT is stupid.

I don't know what they were thinking on the last one, or why they think what we saw today is better than Hilton. Sure most teams aren't going to be interested in Hilton if all he is at this point is a WR3, but we just went and got a old vet as our starting QB and have no WR depth. With Ryan as our QB that means we should have been looking to make win now moves, instead we acted like we have a young QB, and can be patient in finding good replacements at LT and WR.

I picked the Jags to win so this doesn't surprise me but they host the Chiefs at home and well..

Jimmy's somewhere right now penning a cry-in-your-beer ballad with some has-been rocker about the disastrous start to the season. Coming soon to Colts PR streaming service.

Reich's history has been slow starts to games and slow starts to the season. Has any team during the Reich era looked less ready to start the season than the Colts?
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

There's one place that's responsible for it. Coaching. Bad prep, bad scouting, bad schemes on both O & D..... You can excuse an occasional stink-bomb, but this....

It’s just inexcusable at this point. Everyone knew Jacksonville would be flat out ready to play today. There was zero doubt about it. After the Houston debacle, THIS is what we respond with?

Amazing to think they came out with this effort after how last year ended in Jacksonville.

Next 3 games are Chiefs, Titans, @Broncos on a Thurs. This is in jeopardy of totally going off the rails. And when you scroll beyond those 3 games, there really isn’t too much easing up in the schedule. Of course, when you are as bad as the Colts have looked the past two weeks, no game on the schedule is easy. There are a lot of games coming up that would be tough wins even if we were playing halfway decent.

2 or 3 more Ls in this next tough trio of games and strategy needs to move toward a tank. Have to stop the QB carousel of also ran plug ins and try to find a legit QB for long term.

I'm sure it's already been point out someplace, but we got a lot invested in the o-line (the rapidly failing Pryor at LT experiment aside) for it not to be able to pass protect our statue of an almost 40 year old QB worth a damn. And the steady vet looks the complete opposite if he doesn't have a crystal clean pocket.

I don't think Foles does any better for the exact same reason. If this trend continues, I'd just stick Ehlinger in there for developmental. At least he has some escapability. Find out what you have there and then a tank can play out organically. If he shows you enough to keep around as starter, then you try to draft a WR complement for Pittman or an elite LT prospect with your high draft pick. Don't know who's coaching at that point, but I suppose Reich contributes to the tank so in that case don't axe him until season's end.

And I will say - as much flak as Rivers got from some corners - I think he'll go down as the best of our stop-gap option in the post Luck era. He too was on the decline but I think he has a little more remaining arm strength than Ryan and, although equally immobile, had the toughness/moxie to stand in and take the pass rush heat. Ryan just panics and lets fly wherever - even more so than Rivers, who was often criticized for just that.

Big defensive FAs from this past off season - Ngakoue, Gilmore - with a big fat cero in contributions through 2 weeks. Pass rush outside Paye in Houston looks as anemic as ever. What the hell is up with Buckner? Does he ever do anything anymore? I did see Stewart with a couple nice TFLs against Jags.

It is way past time the Colts get a modern quarterback
Ryan and Foles are statutes that is made 10 times worse by
a pathetic receiving corp. Teams will shut down the run
like yesterday because the passing game is so sad
It is time to put Ehlinger in and at least add another threat on offense. The Colts have been massively outscored the last 4 games.

It is time to clean house. GM has had his chance and
so have the coaches and ownership too

Rivers looks like prime Marino compared to everyone else who has taken a snap post-Luck.

Rivers was really really good. Everyone else has been bad or really really bad.

The last 4 games have been Vegas & Jax at the end of 21, and now Houston and Jax to start 22.

You’d be hard pressed to find a worse four game stretch by any team. You go back to last December - the Patriots & Cardinals games were really solid wins. What the hell happened after that? It’s just been a total meltdown.

We’ve entered the fourth quarter of our two games this year down a combined 44-3 lol.

You can’t put into words how bad the offense has been. Defense has been a joke too. Just allowed JAX to easily get in a grove on offense yesterday.

I go back to wishing that we would have just given Ehlinger a shot last year at the end of the year so that we would have at least known what we had in him.

I’m guilty of buying the Ryan hype before the season. There’s still time, but it’s just a total disaster so far.

I just don’t see how long a coach can survive a team looking this bad.
