well, it's a win. still don't like the look of the team. still not seeing any playoff potential. if it weren't the colts playing tonight, no way do i watch more than 10 minutes of this game before falling asleep.

I'm still confused on that series of downs late in the game. I must've missed something. The refs first said the penalty gave the Colts a first down. Then, after some confusion, they changed it to 2nd and inches. The Colts ran and got the first down. Then I thought the Colts got a first down on the next play... but might've been spotted short but nothing was said. And then it's 3rd down? So I missed something in there somewhere. Colts misfired on 3rd down and then kicked the tying FG.

I need to watch that series again, but I also never want to watch this game again... so there's that...
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

Gotta give Ballard credit for signing Gilmore. Nice to have a true difference maker like him on defense.

I might have to eat these words since the sample size is small, but I think Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit have already developed a good chemistry and Amazon's production for these TNF has mostly been top-notch.
They make it feel like a big game going in, and although last night's game ruined much of that and the teams lived up to their records and previous games this season, you know good games will get the proper treatment.

One thing over the years, MNF seemed to lose that magic of feeling like a BIG game. Even when the games were good and important, they no longer felt like MNF of old. It was more like an after-thought game, the left-over game from the weekend. I guess it'll be up to Buck and Aikman and the ESPN production to see if that can be changed.

TNF has seemed to be the other end of that... the opening act for Sunday's slate of action... with the big game being SNF on NBC to close the day.

          Kudos to Amazon so far...

I'll take any win they can get right now. If the O-line wasn't such an embarrassment, they might be able to do something.

No doubt that Al and Kirk are doing great.

I like Buck and Aikman too though. I think Aikman explains the game very well.

Romo is very good, but sometimes can get a little too excitable (like in that Bengals-Chiefs AFCCG last year when he absurdly pondered if the Bengals would just allow KC to score a TD so they’d quickly get the ball back).

Even more hilarious when you realize it was only 9:30 PM in Denver when they were leaving. That’s the ultimate middle finger.

I'm hoping the Colts have used this mini-bye to regroup and sort out some things.
I don't fault Matt Ryan for the sacks, the O-line has to give him SOME time. Even a highly mobile QB would have problems with the sieve the O line has been. Though maybe there is something to be said about communication at the line of scrimmage and Ryan's role in that.
And maybe the preseason could've been better utilized for Ryan and the offense.
But the fumbles? It's not like they are all strips... Sure, strip sacks are a thing, but he's just losing the ball with no extra effort by the defense necessary.

For reasons that still aren't clear, even though they've played like one of the worst teams in the NFL, their record is better than their play. So the ship is still afloat, but taking on water.

Hopefully, the extra time has allowed them to plug the leaks and set sail.

But I won't be counting on that.

Ehlinger is reportedly moved to QB2.
Although several people are reading this as evidence the Colts are losing faith in Ryan, or the with Ryan behind this line, I wonder if it's just Reich getting ready to play 2 QBs to mix in some plays to keep the defense off balance and maybe help the line sustain a drive or two.

It also means he doesn't have much faith in Nick Foles either....

All of the above? If the o-line does not improve might as well at least have the option to put in a QB who's got some wheels. I think this is pretty significant because at this pace Ryan will not last the season. One of these times he is not going to get up

ESPN does have Ehlinger listed 2nd on the depth chart
