I am pleasantly surprised the Colts won because I didn't think they were going to win this game.

Wentz was off to say the least but fortunately we won despite that he can't play like that next week though or really the rest of the season.

I am glad that the Colts escaped with the W at times I felt this game was going to go into a full out brawl...

12 long years since we last beat the Patriots..

The Colts need another WR outside of Pittman who do they have? TY is getting long in the tooth I'm afraid.

Wait where did you hear that? Although that would explain the personal matter.

Nothing completely trust worthy yet but she posted a poem that helps people with the loss of a child.

The Indianapolis Colts faced the New England Patriots on Saturday night without their starting center Ryan Kelly. Kelly was not with the Colts for

They tried to give away another one, but JT can change a game on a dime. Personally would have liked a few more carries for him in some spots in the 3rd when we threw. TOs, STs, and JT were what carried us. And some uncharacteristic Patriarch penalties.

Colts just beat who was the #1 seed in the AFC and people are still whiny about it.

The Colts keep starting hot and letting the good teams back in the game, to the point of losing the game. This is really one of the few where that didn't happen.
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

That was a pretty big win. New England has a very good defense coached by somebody who might be the best that every was at stopping the other teams primary weapon. And we still ran the ball, and ran the ball, and ran the ball.

We are good enough running the ball that we can throw on 1st down and be confident of getting 5 yards running the ball on 2nd down.

Same with the 4th and 1 plays. We are going to run a QB sneak behind Nelson and there is nothing you can do to stop it. And Frank resisted the urge to get cute on those plays.

Wentz was off, but he didn't have to try to win the game on his own. Which is what we want.

Yes, we had some mistakes. But you will never play a perfect game and if you are counting on near perfection to get a win, well, you aren't going to win much.

Hey, if they're running a bit more then Wentz doesn't throw the INT, which realistically should have been his 3rd. I hope Taylor can hit pay dirt in each of the remaining games. That would be incredible and I'm all for him as MVP, pending how the record plays out since that will influence a lot as well as his continued success.

Those were the type gambles and situations I don't really have a problem with. Now, if they would've tried to run a sweep on one of them, I might feel differently...

I'm never going to be OK with chasing points and wasting a nearly sure 3 for a TD that you haven't been able to get on the 3 previous tries. Not until you're already down and NEED those points.

Where does JT and this season rank all time for Colts RB's... particularly, modern era? Eye test and stats?

Just in terms of most rush yards in a season, it looks like Dickerson (1659) and Edge (1709) each have one season somewhat substantially beyond where Taylor is now (1518). But he has a real chance of passing them for most yardage in a single year.

In just two seasons, he's already 13th on the all time list. Within striking distance of 11 and 12 this season (Gore & Rhodes). And almost 1/2 as many rushing TDs (28) as Edge (#1 w/64). Much will depend on his health/durability, of course. I've watched all the Colts backs since they've been in Indy. He's clearly on par with the greats. I'd say he's at least on the level as a pure runner as Dickerson and Edge (and could well wind up better). Not able to comment on Baltimore guys like Lydell Mitchell and Alan Ameche, etc.

The seasonal yardage isn't right anymore for comparing backs. 14 games to 16 games and now to 17. Yards per game seem to be a better way to compare them.

The Lions just beat the Cardinals so I guess the Colts have a better shot than I thought.
