Data from the 3rd shot between Pfizer and Moderna showed a 50 fold increase of antibodies. Well thatโ€™s good news

FYI, state of Indiana today released an entire slew of official waivers effecting continuing education and daily operations for EMS. This is as big as the list of waivers that came out during the opening of the Pandemic. This means that the state, which I have told you guys from the beginning is one of the more forward thinking states when it comes to this, believes this is not short term.

I can't stress this enough, the waivers are allowing for things that from the founding of our state EMS system in the 70's has not been allowed.

Looks like the governor is putting a carrot out there for mask in schools.

I still haven't moved back to computer and just on my phone for this check in,. but I have 'survived ' hip replacement with minimal whining.
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

Then this brings into question how easy it would be to fake being exposed to somebody and having to quarantine for a week? Trust me, thatโ€™s where I have been the last year and a half. There were coworkers who abused the ever living **** out the paid time off for being a close contact or having COVID like symptoms. I have heard rumors of people drawing unemployment while they were quarantined. So yeah you can show up to work by yourself or stay home and cash them checksโ€ฆ

It needs too although I am not sure how they enforce that 100 employee rule. I tell you what though medical workers have had enough. My wife and my friends have either quit or are very close to quitting.

I am tired of it and I don't even have to see patients.

Dad feels the same way. Doesnโ€™t see patients but works with IU Heath as a computer engineer and itโ€™s affecting his department

Sadly I have to deal with a lot of the opposite end of the spectrum people. I now have to balance what I can do going forward with the new mandate. On the one hand it helps me as an employer say that this isn't just us requiring this. On the other hand I now have to prepare myself for the massive walkout I see coming. Believe it or not there are several health care workers, who all should know better, that refuse to take the vaccine. Political, fear, thinks it was rushed or whatever reason they have.

There is a real serious fear on our end we may lose a significant portion of our workforce. We hope not, we are struggling with personnel as it stands.

Further complicating this issue is that there is a fear that there are a group of Hospital workers who are not vaccinated and at this point are refusing to take it either.

In many ways this has been one hell of a year trying to deal with this stuff.

Some people really need to grow up and get vaccinated, if you go to a fast food restaurant and you don't ask them to break down what is in it and how many hormones the animal you are eating had then STFU and get vaccinated.

If you smoke and you don't know about every chemical that is killing your a** then get vaccinated and stop been a baby.

I wonder how they can even enforce it? Seems above his presidential powers.

From the short amount that I have read on it they will use OSHA. Problem is that agency like many are short staffed which makes enforcement difficult.

Of course this gives cover for the very large companies and these are the ones that I think it's meant to target since they actually push the vaccination rates higher overall for the USA.

I doubt this administration cares very much if small companies follow the order or not. They have no way to go after the small fish but they can easily hit large companies through OSHA. The fines themselves are nothing but the personal litigation from individuals is where the motivation will come from with these large companies.

Those of us in healthcare they are going to hit right in the pocketbooks. They will withhold Medicare money.

Sadly though, as much as I support a mandate to a degree, this is really only going to exasperate an already suffering health care staffing shortage.

I think everyone knew what was coming:
"I'm not taking an experimental drug!!! This needs FDA "approval""

The FDA has given the vaccine full approval

                                "I don't trust the FDA!!!"

At a certain point, the unvaccinated were going to be a drag on society. Their wallowing in ignorance and disinformation were going to be the keys to the setbacks we're now seeing.

They had their chance NOT to do the above... but OF COURSE... they did the above. Just moved the goalposts on their excuses.

I never would've given them the freedom they got early on. The honor system on masks and store entry. I don't even think states should've dropped mask mandates until vaccine compliance, among any other variables, hit a certain percentage.

A lot of stuff should've required vaccines and/or tests to do.... whether it's concerts or eating out. "If you're vaccinated, you don't need a mask" was not the correct approach because the people denying the pandemic anyway were going to be taking their masks off too. And nobody checking hall passes...

We're asking the most dishonorable people to operate on the honor system.

So here we are, a day late and a dollar short.

I think Biden has probably pleased those of us that are sick of seeing the ignorance coddled. The people that are pizzed over this, were already pizzed. Biden hasn't lost anyone with this. If anything, he's just shored up support from those of us ready to stop the coddling of ignorance.

We need to stop pretending that uninformed opinions are just as valuable as informed opinions. They don't exist on the same plane and it's time that is recognized.

Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.
