I also don't like that Wentz totally blew off his inability to practice as a possible reason he played poorly. Even if he's being a dickhead because of the shot and it's implications he should at least acknolwedge that not being able to practice as the team's starting QB is not a good thing. I can start to sort of get the rep he had in Phily where it was all about him.

Not really sure what that would accomplish people would accuse him of making excuses if he used that as a reason why he didn't play that well. Besides people are salty about him making his own medical decisions as is he probably doesn't want to make it a bigger deal than it is which is the real reason he's downplaying it.

Yeah. They are what they are at this point: The type of team where you don’t want to get too down on them after a loss, but also sure as hell don’t want to get too high on them after them after a win either.

A top tier team doesn’t lose that Oakland game.

So once the playoffs are established, we'll do a QB comparison of all the teams to see where Wentz falls. Can you really expect have a realistic contender chance with him as your starter? The comparison and playoffs itself (unless we choke v. Jags, which would pretty much sum it up) will be the final analysis on Wentz's viability as a legit starter.

I’d take him over Jones today, but that’s it amongst the likely AFC playoff teams.

On a good day Wentz can be middle of the pack amongst the AFC QB’s, but the good days have been few and far between lately. And on a bad day he is the worst.

I think we have dodged a Wentz meltdown all season, like a 3 interception game and I am sorry but I believe it is coming, whether it is this week in Jacksonville or in the wild card, I don't know, but the guy is due for some of his wild *** throws to go the other way.

His floor is so low and that is what makes him an awful NFL QB.

That's what I've been saying... More than most any other QB he's dodged some serious bullets with some of his throws. His luck can't hold out on that. Some good team that is well-coached, like you find in the playoffs, will not only be ready for those gifts, but set him up for them.
His due for a multi-pick debacle.
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

Seems like he actually plays better on the road which would bode well in the playoffs. Outside of Baltimore, almost all of the bad losses were at home.

Like I said, Jacksonville’s record going into this was irrelevant. Playing spoiler to the Colts is like the Super Bowl to them and there was no doubt they would be ready to play. Plus we haven’t done well down there in years.

If we let Trevor Lawrence look like Tom Brady then I’m not sure I want to watch them in the playoffs anyway.

i don't watch a lot of football tbh, but lawrence was a #1 overall pick...presumably he's not some complete scrub...

(and that jax receiver could have easily caught that td just at the end of the half...big break there)

He obviously has talent, but he still had 10 TD’s to 17 INTS going into this. I’m just saying that if we’re letting a rookie who has struggled carve us up, then this team is going absolutely nowhere.

It would be an epic collapse to follow up monster wins against NE and AZ with losses against LV and Jax.

I think the lack of a reliable offense has just depressed the entire team at this point.
