He will have a blast playing with Drummond. Trust me. Drummond's picks made will Bynum look relevant.

Steve Nash was 31 by the end of his first season back in Phoenix. He was still having money thrown at him last summer at 38.I just don't care a lot about age with point guards that don't rely on athleticism.

I'd give him 4 years, 5th year team option. I really don't see him declining anytime soon.

I think Vnzla meant time with a winning team. Calderon can literally play with anyone, he's a damn good floor general/passer (much like Dre Miller)

I think he could easily take a team like the Jazz or Hawks and put them over the top. No they wouldn't be contenders, but they would be fighting for home court in the playoff race. Both teams could hide him defensively as well.

Or place him in a 6th man role that gets starters minutes with a scoring PG (Chicago--when Rose comes back, or San Antonio)

All in all, he gets to be a starter in the league again and probably helps push Detroit's development up a half season.

If he wants to go ring chasing for a discount backup job, obviously we can't compete with that.

I'm saying he's in a position to have a career here, if he still wants one. We can pay him, offer him a starting job, and we have two big men he will love playing with.

If he can get the ball to Drummond and Monroe, we will be a winning team again. It's not rocket science. He isn't coming to a team with no talent.

Thinking about it I don't think Detroit is that bad after all, Calderon, Knight, X player, Monroe and Drummond? no bad, who are they going to try to get next year to fill the small forward position by the way?

I'd target josh smith, re sign Calderon and call it a day. Smith and Drummond compensates for a small knight/calderon backcourt duo, and Calderon would have a field day with offensive targets

But would you really want Drummond being mentored by Josh Smith?

I don't think Josh Smith is a good fit with that group though, unless you want him shooting fadeway 3's all the time, not enough shooters for my liking I guess.

edit: now if you replace Knight with Mayo you might have something. Calderon, Mayo, JS, Monroe and Drummond.

Hate mayo. Gives me Ben gordon flashbacks. He adds nothing but scoring.

And a ton of cap space.

Loved that Brandon knight destroyed Kyrie Irving his final game as starting point guard. It helped that Kyrie looked like he didn't even care to be there.

Watching the end of the Grizzlies game to check out Tayshaun Prince. They were up 6 with 3 minutes to go, and Prince hit 2 key jumpers to help put the game away. Good for him. I'll be rooting for Memphis.

Happy for Prince he looks rejuvenated out there and cant say I blame him. He is the type of player that does no good for a rebuilding team but man is he a good glue guy. I liked the trade a lot more for the Grizz when I found out it was Prince not Cory Maggete going back.

trade made sense for 2 of the teams in the trade and if the Raps can play like they did tonight maybe it was a good trade all around. But I kind of still hate it for them they are almost in the LT and have a mediocre team IMO and will stay mediocre for a while.

He fits their roster much better than ours as well. I'm rooting for him too.

I think is possible that Rudy Gay looks a lot more like a superstar in Toronto, he is going to get all the touches he wants just like Harden in Houston, he was never going to be an star in Memphis with Zbo and Gasol.
