Heck, maybe Indystar would be forced to put up positive bits on the team as cover stories.

    GO PHILLY!!!!
You do know we'd play Miami in the second round, should we advance, right? Has nothing to do with Philly or Chicago.

My guess is that he will play...but probably with an ankle that is not 100%. He'll tough it through...but my guess is that he will come down to a level where Hawes and Brand can handle him.

      EDIT - Nevermind.....ankle doesn't look good.

Noah is in bad shape. Initial X-rays were negative, however the team hasn't ruled out a fracture, two sources said

This is going to be the least exciting 1/8 upset in the history of sports...

Makes me wish that we fell to the 4th or 5th spot to play the Hawks or the Celtics

New York would be pissed that they should stay at No. 8.

no matter what seed, the chance we would have to go through Miami is about 98% so for the sake of some piraeus victory along the line, 1st rnd is what we worked for, from there on in, if you want to win it all, you have to go through all.

So, Philly making me eat crow. I didn't believe in them as a playoff team. They haven't shown any indication throughout the season that they could close out games or that they could go to the line enough.

Yesterday, they did both. With Evan Turner starting they seem like a different team.

                  Well done, Philly.

All they've done is proven they are a little better than Chicago without Derrick Rose.

Had they been remotely competitive in game 1, I would have given them the benefit of the doubt, but they were not competing like this before Rose went down.

I think we have the best shot of any team in the east of beating Miami. We have to get on a big time roll to get it done though....right now.

My point was not about their competitiveness. My point was that they showed the ability to go to the line.

                        Game 1: 31 FTAs

                        Game 2: 15 FTAs

                        Game 3: 33 FTAs

Their season average was 18.5 FTAs. So, that's a definite improvement in the games 1 and 3.

Also, they won a close game yesterday. That's also something that they don't tend to do as they won only 37.5% of their close games in the regular season.

I really wish Rose was still playing just because of my hatred towards Boston. I am so tired of Boston's act. It looks like the Celtics have a clear path to the ECF. The real ECF is Heat/Pacers, yet the media is going to be gushing how great Boston is. Because of fluke injuries, they should re-seed winners of each round. The top two teams in the east, pacers and heat, will be meeting a round early
Being unable to close out a game in which you have a comfortable lead in the 4th Q = Pulling a Frank Vogel

Bulls fans made a thread on realgm about how classless the Philly fans are. I think it's the pot calling the kettle a little dark myself.
