Re: 2010-2011 NBA Random Thoughts Thread part VII: Advent Children

I did. He's turned into a total moron.

He ran our offense repeatedly through Tayshaun Prince and Charlie V in the 4th quarter, even when it was obvious it wasn't working. Our two best players, Stuckey and Gordon, sat and watched them get mauled.

Kuester had a good season last year. Now? it's like he's trying to lose on purpose. He benches anybody that's playing well and leaves the guys struggling out there for as long as possible.

I can't fathom another coach just sitting and watching his team blow a 4th quarter lead like that. No timeouts. No substitutions. Just leave your reserve lineup out there minus Gordon to get destroyed.

He's been good defensively- the problem is that the entire set of Spurs bigs are super slow. They need Tiago- he will make the rest of their bigs much better defensively.

A tough loss but that's what happens when you don't shoot well in this league. The Pacers would have crushed the Spurs tonight.

I think the total overall upgrade of Tiago + new Jefferson might have more actual achieved potential than the tantalizing mix that Dallas brings- but if everyone on Dallas figures out who they are things will be very tough in the West.

Stop me if you head this before but Hasheem Thabeet sucks Memphis is 2-1 and he is a -39 in 38+ MP. But the other guys are good they lost the first game to the Hawks with no Gasol and then Z-Bo got hurt but then won the last with without him.

They beat the Minnesota by 20 tonight and had 22 steals, Conley went 14-7-11-7 and Darrell Arthur filling in after 3 games as a starter is hitting at 17 PPG they head out to play the Lakers Tuesday in which should be a real fun game for everyone to catch.

Do you think you guys will make a deal this season? No offense, but you don't look like you are going to make much noise this season. You think you will move Tayshaun? And what kind of deal are Pistons fans expecting to get out of him?

I don't know what to think anymore. Ben Gordon's called out Kuester's lack of adjustments after three games.

I'm just counting down the seconds until rip and tayshaun are gone. I'm also tired of Kuester's unwavering loyalty to guys that aren't playing well.

I'm really sick and tired of Ben Gordon going 8/10 and Rip going 2/10 and seeing Rip in the 4th quarter.

What's happened to him in the past few seasons? 5 or 6 years ago, it appeared as if that guy could not miss a ****ing shot within the arch. Did he get hurt or something? Did he just stop working on his game? Is he missing Billups?

I don't know. I think it's a mental thing with him. Ever since we brought in Gordon, Rip has been taking shots he normally wouldnt take. I think he's getting a little territorial with his starting job.

                        Why Tayshaun, K?

I'd love to have Prince on the Pacers, if only as a 6th/7th man. . .

To be fair to Tayshaun, he's not playing that poorly. He just does not fit in anymore. When the younger players want to push the ball, he slows everyone else down.

Is the Hamilton/Summers for Ford/D. Jones deal still on the table?

I'd do that in a heartbeat.

I'd rather not even have Summers...we can quickly put Magnum back on the team..

Tayshaun is pretty awesome still. But watching that 2nd half they had him running the point alot. He is definately versatile enough to do it, but it's not his strong point. It was kinda like watching Mike Dunleavy trying to run point out there. Then it seemed Keuster had Ben Gordan trying to run the point and that's a bad idea too. It was an collapse equal to some of the worst of the Pacer's epic late game failures over the past few years. They were outscored 34-9 in the 4th.. after being up by 15 to start the 4th.

TJ Ford would totally help out the Pistons. Hell any PG that can dribble the ball and make a pass to back up Stucky. I wonder why they didn't try to get someone like Earl Watson in the offseason?
