As things stand we would be picking 15th, 24th + 29th I figure could be a fun exercise to track how things are going in terms of draft standings.

The 5 head play would be to offer up our 1st this year as an unprotected, in addition to whatever else, to acquire the elite wing/big (potential) we need as soon as possible. These 1sts are incredibly overvalued right now and with the perception our pick will be a lotto pick, adds even more value. And I also am not a huge fan of this class right now beyond Wemby, especially for what we need.
So would I offer something like Duarte and our unprotected 1st for Kuminga? Yes.Comment

Could care less what NBA team he is on... as you saw last year, Kuminga was my #1 player in the draft, followed by Wagner. I believe he has elite potential and can maximize that potential if put on the right team soon. Also happens to play what I feel is the most important position left for us to fill.Comment

I agree with Croz on this one. It's clear we already have some good talent in development, so it makes sense to accelerate the process of acquiring more talent with the highest potential. The chances are low that we keep all three picks to add three newbies to this roster.
What would be really fun from a PD perspective is to expand the trade to our "aged trash" of Myles, Buddy, Duarte and a #1 for Wiseman, Kuminga and Moody, for whom so many here have expressed their love primarily due to his significantly younger age.

If our pick ended up being Wemby it would be labeled the dumbest team/trade maybe ever. This years lottery overall is supposed to be really good, maybe many better than Kuminga."Just look at the flowers ........ BANG" - Carol "The Walking Dead"Comment

I really like Kuminga. HOLY CRAP that would be unbelievably stupid trade. Trade a UNPROTECTED lottery pick with Wemby a possibility. Wow. We are probably going be in the lottery, even though we've played so far ahead of expectations so far.

A few early wins does not change my mind about the right direction for this team. We have 2 players that I see as starters on this team in 2-3 years. Our best bet is still to move Turner and Hield for picks, let the young guys play and get the best pick we can in the next draft. We're not ending this season with 40 wins. Why do teams tank? A top-5 pick would be nice this year, but I also have confidence in the idea of a mini-rebuild with Mathurin as the payout. He is the level of talent you hope to tank for. Him plus Haliburton, plus proving we are a playoff team now might be enough to attract a key free agent the next two years to become a contender. So winning might be the best thing for us in the long run. The chances of landing Wemby or Scoot, having them stay healthy and happy in Indy might be too slim to continue a tank over, developing losing habits and souring our young stars on Indy.Comment

The pick watch is very similar to what was posted when the thread was started. We are currently looking at 17th, 26th + 30th, unfortunately though that Houston Rockets 2nd Rounder has fallen outside the protection for now.
17th - Kris Murray, Jalen Wilson come to mind.
26th + 30th - I haven't done enough research.Comment
