If Rick Carlisle didn't have a lot of sway with ownership and the front office, I think there's a bigger chance we would draft Grady. As it is though, I'm not too worried about it. That's what I'm telling myself at least...

What pick Would we use? 26, 29 or 32?
"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

I have no clue who he is. Any insight who he is?

Problem with promising him in the late 1st is that this means that other prospects that we've been pining over ( like Sidy or Leonard ) is likely no longer an option.

Drafting a 3rd Player is a possibility, but my guess is that the third 1st round pick, 32 and the last 2nd round pick are traded for some vets.

I would think 26, but who knows. If someone falls hard it could all change. It has to be 26 or 29. First round money is guaranteed. So I doubt he would pull out for a second round pick.

                    Some thoughts:
                    • The most important indicator of who we will take is who Tyrese wants. IMO, Tyrese would most appreciate someone who is a great help defender as a 3/4 or true 4 so that he can save most of his effort for offense, where he would love someone with gravity to hit at least a corner 3, and present a lob threat. To me that means all signs point to Hendricks as a clear #1 option, and someone we might even trade up for because the fit is so good. Walker would be the only other choice IMO. Nobody else comes close to checking off all of those boxes. Ausar and Whitmore…I don’t think Ty sees the same value for him there, and I trust how he sees the game and what we need.
                    • This draft is crazy deep with a lot of people talking about a tier that encompasses ~16-32. I am not worried about us keeping at least three of our later picks in such a uniquely deep draft, where 26-32 might net you guys that would go 16-21 in other drafts.
                    • The same Ty Approval criteria applies for me with our later picks, but with an eye for upside. Our vacuum at the 3/4 spot allows us to take one to start (Hendricks) one to backup (L.Miller/Cissoko/O-Max) and the 32nd to two-way (Jordan Walsh or Bobi Klintman).

After the obvious top 2 I still think Ausar is my guy because of upside and fit, but if he isn't there and Black is I'm taking him, fit be damned. I think Black has a shot to be an absolute stud. His instincts on both offense and defense and his vision are elite. I'd take him 10 times out of 10 over Cade and I like Cade a lot.

I'm hoping we keep the 7th and then trade the rest of our picks and future 1sts to trade up to 5 and pick both Thompson Twins, then play Hold Me Now during every timeout for the next two years.

How the **** did Bufkin become a consensus lottery pick? I don't get it.

                              Why is dude so sickly?

Barlowe's been making excuses and dick riding Miller all year.
