Everyone knows I can't stand Turner. But he's not terrible. He can be good at times. And he's our best center, currently. Maybe not the most reliable, but the best talent.

I wish Turner was plain terrible. The cruel trick we endure is that he has flashes of brilliance and becomes fools gold to TPTB. Under pressure, he is not good.

Here's a clip of KOC and Vernon showering Tyrese with praise. KOC think he's a top 15 guy in the NBA:

I think if Pacers ever finish as #1 seed, I can see Haliburton winning an MVP

It was mostly a joke. The Clips reportedly won't even offer Mann, a (not even that young) guy their coach will find any excuse not to play. Their package with or without Mann is pretty lackluster, not saying ours isn't as well.

Team USA standout Tyrese Haliburton can’t wait for Jan. 30 when he’ll play on TNT for first time in his career. He & Pacers were on ESPN once last season, not that he’s counting or anything ...and Domas has 11 games on national TV +11 on NBA TV...22 games...so ...who won the trade?....the answer is in the National TV schedule.

And then watch TNT change the schedule in favor of some Laker or Heat game cuz they don't care about the Pacers being on TV.

It strikes me that San Antonio is only on non-NBATV 11 times with the guy supposed to be the Greatest Draft Pick in decades.

Or throw in a first-round pick and flip it for a max-level point guard...

I'm a bit surprised they actually went through with it.

Los Angeles Lakers governor Jeanie Buss and comedian Jay Mohr reportedly got married Sunday in a ceremony in Malibu, California, per TMZ Sports.

Buss and Mohr were married in a small ceremony on a Malibu beach in front of 20 friends and family members.

The two started dating in 2017, per TMZ Sports. They announced their engagement in Dec. 2022.

Buss has been the Lakers' president since the 2013-14 season. She became the first female governor of an NBA championship-winning team when the Lakers won the 2020 NBA Finals.

Mohr has appeared in a host of movies (e.g. Jerry Maguire, Go) and television shows (e.g. Saturday Night Live, Ghost Whisperer). He also hosted sports shows on TV and radio

                      .
I remember when Mohr would occasionally sit in as host for the Jim Rome show. Guy could be hilarious and always knew his sports. Didn't know they were a couple.

I like Domas as much as anybody, he is a phenomenal player but there is no question Haliburton is a better asset at this point in both of their careers and the trade is almost universally considered a win, win trade for both teams. That being said, if you gave every team in the league the chance to get Haliburton or Sabonis for free right now, the vast majority of teams are easily taking Haliburton over Sabonis (unless its a team that is already super solid at the PG position and could use a big).

The Kings are certainly a better team right now, their unexpected success last year was a great story, they have a amazing fanbase and a very exciting team with the whole "light the beam" schtick, etc. It is no surprise they have more nationally televised games than the Pacers who have Haliburton and pretty much no one else.

he was hilarious but it seemed like at the very beginning he didn't actually know anything about sports lol...later on he got is own show, but i guess i outgrew sports radio by then

                              fairly extreme rest rules coming:
A new plan would give the NBA more oversight over discipline for missed games and an ability to fine teams over $1M for violating resting rules, sources said.

i guess it's understandable given how much load management teams have been doing...not sure how it's gonna play out when a player coming back from injury has B2B national TV games... (i guess it won't affect us lol)
