You don't think they can tamper with the ping pong balls?

Look I'm not trying to poison the board. Wemby is a special talent, what if he went to Charlotte or Houston? They've been a **** show the past few years. Also not saying it's been any better with the Pacers.

They do the drawing in front of team reps but don’t tell anyone the results in the room. We all see the results live on tv when they open the envelope after the drawing is done. Sounds pretty easy to rig to me. Really easy actually.

That's not true. Everyone in the room knows the results the moment the last ping pong ball is drawn. Every person in the room (team reps and media) knows which combinations of numbers are which team so it's super obvious. They just aren't allowed to tell anyone else until after it's revealed on TV.

How do you tamper with the balls so that four different balls out of 1000 come out in a specific order and is not detectable by anyone in the room? I'm not completely dismissing the possibility, but it's pretty far fetched.

Plus, the motivation from the NBA is sketchy. They would be risking their entire business that makes them billions of dollars on a complicated, risky plan for a not very big gain. Even if you stipulate that the NBA would be willing to cross all ethical bounds for the highest profit, even then it doesn't make very much sense. The reward is not big enough to be worth any level of risk.

He may have just gotten himself permanently banned from the NBA

Glad Pacers didn’t tank for Wemby and instead gave Hield and McConnel playing time, getting him would have sucked.

The team that tanked the most didn’t get Wemby and picked fifth. So odds were no matter what they weren’t gonna get him
