If Westbrook really wants out of L.A. I believe he has a player option so he can walk away from 47 mil and sign anywhere he wants. I wonder what kind of offers he'd get. I doubt if he'd make up that 47 mil before he's done.

^^And that's why he said he wants a trade. He's not walking away from that 47.

For 47 million. He should let them put him in a dunk tank outside the LA arena, and let the fans have at it before games.

iverson never had the help russ did...who was his best #2? theo ratliff or something?

He was with prime Melo but Iverson was declining by then. That's when it became apparent that Iverson wasn't going to be effective in a supporting role.

Iverson took the 76ers to the finals and actually won a game. Russ hasnโ€™t done nothing since he left OKC

Iverson left Philly when he was 31. Russel left OKC when he was 30.

like i think even during those pacers-sixers series where i was crazily rooting for the pacers, i maybe remember feeling bad for AI about how bad his teammates were...or at least embarrassed that they were putting up a fight against us...Eric Snow, Aaron McKie, that serial killer lookin Matt Geiger...

Good Lord. Somebody please come up with another name, there's no way this can be true...

Iverson was the truth, but I worry younger generations will not know this.

I knew AI was the real deal because my dad, who is the most square, tucks-polos-into-his-dad-jeans, Church-going, New Balances-with-white-tube-socks wearing guy you can imagine, absolutely loved him. And anybody around then knows that AI's image was not favorable in the eye of Joe public, he was something too different for the time.

He was on the back end of his career already. They also brought in Derrick Coleman, to do some of the scoring. I think they had rookie Kyle Korver as well?

I don't think a player like AI would succeed wildly in today's NBA like he did back in the early 2000's. All the switching and forcing mismatches and forward's who can handle the ball. Teams would force a switch on him and make him defend bigger scorers everytime down the court.

Motumbo didn't help with the scoring load but during his short time with the Sixers he led the league in rebounding, was named dpoy, all nba defensive team and all nba second team. I wouldn't say he was on the decline yet. I don't disagree though, Russ has played with much better talent.
