Also, doesn't sound like Frank's firing was Paul's idea.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

She did a great job. After listening to Paul I don't hear a guy dying to leave Indiana. It has adjusted by view a bit from prior statements I heard. Heck, he did everything he could to change my view. We'll see how this turns out.

Yeah, I am actually encouraged by watching the interview in its entirety.

I have never been under the impression it was did anyone really think that? (serious question)

I think it was pretty obvious that Bird wanted to move on and yes some of us around here admittedly(myself included but I wanted Bird to go with him)

However I can't say I'm surprised the media would want Paul George in a bigger market. Even though its better to spread the wealth talent wise the major sports prefer big stars in big markets.

Its why they kept pushing LeBron to the Knicks even though LeBron isn't dumb enough to commit career suicide.

I said that insinuating that it actually kind of sounded like he was hinting that he didn't like the move.

He gave a PC interview. Good for him. I'd be encouraged by seeing him turn into a better player on the court.

He was either being honest or he got a lot better at hiding his actual thoughts and feelings. It could well be the latter. All I can say is he did a good job. I expect good things from him in the playoffs and hope the team starts to gel.

I just saw on NBATV this guy talking about advanced statistics of rebounding (he was talking about Russell Westbrook) and it was shown that Russell + PG were tied for lowest contested rebound percentage of major minute players at 21.1%. I think it just mainly shows that PG isn't putting major effort into cleaning the glass if it's by effort or design or both.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

It could also mean that Paul is guarding the other team's best player all the time and doesn't have time to also rebound. I'm no PG apologist, just sayin'.

That's true also, though Jimmy Butler has a 29.8% and Kawhi has a 30.1% and they have just as much defensive responsibility.

Man you all give Paul such a hard time. Dude is the most talented player to ever wear the blue n gold in the NBA. You all whine about his interviews and accuse him of having bad attitude, but what has he said in these interviews that wasn't true? I'm not gonna get all butt hurt about his comments after a tough loss.

Is it pg's fault that we are with out Thad Young? We are playing playoff teams with considerably more talent than us. We are starting Seraphin! This is just a perfect storm of injury and schedule. Both stuckey and Monta have broken jumpers. Who we gonna beat? This will get turned around. The real problem here is that this team can't guard the 3 pt line

Some differences for the Pacers - PG doesn't qualify for the supermax yet, unlike Cousins. (This is due to PG not making all-NBA that year he broke his leg, though actually he's had more all-NBA selections than Cousins). He'll have to make all-NBA again this year to qualify.

The other point is that PG's character concerns (if any) aren't in the same neighborhood as Boogie's. It's still a lot of money to commit of course, but I'd say teams would be a lot more comfortable with PG as the face of the franchise than Boogie.

IMO Pacers would offer the $200m extension to PG should it become available.

Hmm, I guess I've never thought of Larry as unlikeable. He's grumpy and lack's a filter, but that's fine with me. Paul George sometimes seems unlikeable, but just in a young way, doesn't seem a bad guy.
