Pau is 31 on July 6th. He's played 831 game including the playoffs. Pau has 3 yrs left on his contract at 18.7, 19, 19.2 = 56.9

Danny turned 28 in April, so he's basically 3 years younger. Danny has played 424 games in his career. Danny has 3 years left on his contract at 12, 13, 14 = 39.0

Its a decent question though, I think.

Positives - elite PF who can score and rebound, allstar level player and its even more evident in the East, I think. Excellent Bigs are harder to come by than excellent wings.

Negatives - Is he a franchise type player, was he in Memphis?
Is he soft?

General Questions.
Will Paul George grow into a Small Forward, full time?
Would he be as motivated in Indy as he was vying for a ring?

For Pau, 18 and 10 in 82 games looks awesome last year; 13 and 8 in the playoffs not as much.

Its interesting to me, almost completely because of Paul George, honestly. If you really thought Lance was the "best player" in Indy, too. Another words, you think Lance and Paul are your stud 2/3 moving forward. It's just too many ifs, honestly.

Otherwise it seems like an older, more expensive, rearrangement of a weakness.

Again though, I'm intrigued because of Paul Georges potential to develop.

One other thing, it would be fun to watch Roy and Pau play on offense, but it would be equally as NOT fun to watch them defensively, probably.

Paul is not a top ten player, trading Danny for him without getting Kobe and 1st back is a lateral move.....

If Gasol was 3-4 yrs younger, I could swallow his price tag. If he was
due to make about 35% less, I could live with his age.

As is, at 31, with his contract ? No way.

I wouldn't ever do that. He's not very good, he's old, and his contract is more ridiculous than Dunleavy's. No way!
