Will Sheehey is officially my least favorite 4 year IU player since I've been alive. He has not improved at all since sophomore year and is arguably the worst decision maker and defender in the starting lineup which is truly an extraoridinary feat for the lone senior.

That woudl be a losing season. Below .500. In year 6. With two McDonald's All Americans in his starting lineup and 3 other 4 star top 50 recruits in the rotation. Embarrassing is really the only word I can come up with for this coaching staff.

Dakich loves Crean. He defends him constantly on his radio show and will continue to. Dakich does not like a lot of the talent on IU's team. Specifically Hollowell and Perea.

Honestly, we (and as an alum I feel like I can say we for Indiana State) could finish 25 - 8 and not make the tournament. I think the only way we make it in is if we win the conference tournament, which is an issue since one of the top 5 teams in the country is in our conference.

I work in Bloomington, and I joke around that I'm really looking forward to that Indiana State - Indiana NIT game. Now I feel like that may be giving Indiana too much credit.

I dislike Dwyane Wade because he is on the Heat, but I'm starting to dislike him even more for the fact that he fooled the world into thinking that Crean is a good coach. Outside of Wade carrying that team in 03, Crean really hasn't accomplished much for a guy who has coached as long as he has. No Elite 8's without Wade. Hey at least there is hope. IU can make a Final Four with Crean if we can just get our hands on a guy who will go on to become a top 20 all time NBA player.

Stopped watching after the Nebraska loss. Thought maybe I'd given up to soon on them after the Michigan win, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. It's so awful it's not worth wasting my time on.

People forget that Marquette also played in the C-USA this year, and as Butler proved in back to back seasons if you can save a lot of your energy for March, you can ebat the hell out of some teams you shouldn't

It is almost painful to watch Yogi and NOah flounder out there.

Noah is 13/22 on 3s this season, which is just mind boggling here to me. Here we are one of the shittiest shooting team I've ever seen and we have this guy shooting well and we're not even getting him a 3 game right now. That is just ****-tastic coaching

Didn't Crean ultimately get Dakich's back after Dakich punted some IU players that had issues that apparently were more serious that just basketball (in fact players that could've helped Crean field a better team that first year or two). But Crean didn't reinstate those players that Dakich punted. I am remembering that right aren't I?

So maybe that loyalty 'bought' Dakich? At least for a while. Plus, if Dakich turned on Crean, especially before the rest of the state and basketball world does, he could be painted as jealous and accused of his opinion just being sour grapes.

So there are at least two things brewing that would keep him from being at the forefront of being critical of Crean.

Of course maybe he actually thinks he's a good coach...

                        Yeah right....
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

Nah. Dakich just loves coaches. He doesn't really care for players or fans. That's just his way and always has been. He may "turn" on Crean at some point, but it will only be once it is very clear Crean is going out. Dakich needs to keep his coach ties strong since that is his big hook as a commentator, that he was once a coach.

Crean needs to be at a mid major where his rah rah energy and sales job can keep people energized while the mid-major schedule isn't too tough for his lack of coaching skills and won't get team and fans down with losses. And he'll be able to get enough athletes to win at a decent clip as long as the schedule isn't exceedingly too tough game in and game out. Meanwhile, instead of a tough Big Ten schedule he'll be able to manage the competition better and limit the tougher games and marquee teams coming in. Find a couple of Marquee teams he can play here and there and steal a game or two over the years.

Expectations at IU are and always be more than Crean is capable of. The early IU schedule was an embarrassment for a team with IU's history and supposed return to relevance.
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.
