Caleb TerBush suspended for the game, team rules violation. Guy's the starting QB and a captain getting suspended for the season opener. Yep, it's a new Purdue football season.

Oh well, Marve should be the starter anyway.

48-6'll do I guess. Henry didn't look too hot but he's been out a whole year, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt I guess. Not many penalties, that's a bonus. Kawaan Short performed liked you'd expect him to against EKU, , 2 blocked kicks and at least one sack I remember. Kid's gonna be an All American. Need to get the two Akeems more touches, especially in a blowout like this.

funny how the article comes as close to calling Hope a dumb azz as is allowed within the rules of journalism.

Although Hope didn’t announce his decision until Monday night, he gave an indication that starting TerBush might be the best option Sunday.

“It may be that it’s best for us to go into South Bend and make sure we manage the offense really well and that we don’t create any negative plays. If that means Caleb TerBush starts and Marve finishes, so be it. If that means Marve starts and TerBush finishes, so be it,“ Hope said.

But last year, the Boilermakers started slowly against the Fighting Irish. TerBush was intercepted on the game‘s first play when he threw over the middle into double coverage. Two plays later, Notre Dame led 7-0 en route to a 38-10 victory

In happier (well...in a way) news, they're putting a Neil Armstrong sticker on the back of the helmets for the rest of the year. That's pretty cool.

That's the helmet decal. I'm surprised, it looks pretty cool. Figured they'd screw it up.

Anyway, with the QBs, I just can't get the rationale. It's nothing against TerBush or Henry (though he's not an actual QB), I just don't get why Hope needs to play them all. I honestly don't know what CTB can do Marve can't, yeah Henry's good running it, but that's it and the defense knows that. I don't know what Marve needs to do to get a vote of confidence from the staff, it's almost like Hope has something against him. Maybe it's advice from the training staff with the ACLs or something. Or Maybe Hope's in over his head being the head coach at a Big 6 school.

Sigh. Coulda had Sumlin or Leach.

I think the Irish will take care of you guys this weekend. I actually think Notre Dame is better than Michigan this year. Denard Robinson is an incredible talent, but his arm gets exploited against talented defenses.
