Green's size could be nice for one year.

So could Bawa's. He's not an impact player, so like I said, I don't really care. If he comes, great, we have more frontcourt depth. If not, it won't break our season.

Not IU basketball related, but the Hoosiers have a very, very real shot with #1 QB Gunner Kiel. That would be exciting.

I think he's gonna come. It really sounds like it's down between IU and Alabama, and it sounds like Alabama is seriously concerned they're losing ground on us. There was even a rumor over the weekend that Peegs had to address that Gunner had already committed to us. You'd have to think a 5 star QB would also attract some other talent that might want to play with him.

Yeah I asked Peegs in chat last night about that very scenario. He said he thought it would certainly help recruiting, but doubted it would lead to commitments to other Rivals150 guys.

That would be huge if IU could pull in a big time QB. I would think that would show other ppl that we are getting more serious about our Football team. This new coach may just be the man to make us a really solid football team who easily makes it to bowl games every year. We will never be great, we are a basketball school mixed with a bunch of large football schools. But ill take competitively challenging the other Big Ten teams any day of the week for our Football team.

Gunner Kiel and his family are on campus today...hmm...I think we are very, very near a commitment.

it really doesnt matter if he comes IU's defense is terrible and almost every position is one guy can only do so much. I mean they had a good QB the last few years and still suck.

Well, even down the road obviously if you're a young WR, TE, HB, or OL coming and playing in an offense with the best QB in a class has to be extremely attractive.

We have the nation's largest, newest, and nicest weight room.

You add a 5 star QB with IU's typical glut of position players and at the very least you suddenly become Texas Tech or Oklahoma State North.

IU's football program is a diamond in the rough, from the standpoint of funding and facilities we are top notch. Now it's just a matter of getting the talent to come. Landing a 5 star QB would be a huge step.

Peegs also tweeted about an hour or 2 after that, that today is one of those days that he has to always make sure to have his phone on him.

Honestly, congrats to IU. That's how little I care about NCAA football.

Bad coaching. Bill Lynch, while a really nice guy, was a crappy coach. Kevin Wilson is the real deal. The defense will improve, the offense will be solid, and recruiting (besides Gunner) has already picked up. The state of Indiana is developing more talent in football and Purdue certainly isn't doing **** to lock them up, so IU and its sparkling new facilities stand to take a step forward.
