PS4 Random Thoughts

Since we got the xbox one thread, i figured why not have a ps4 thread. Its the route I'm going for my next gen console. At first at least. Will eventually get the xbox 1 just like i got the 360 later.

Anyways I'm pumped. Target is going to be offering buy 2 get 1 free on some ps4 games during launch week as well!

Im getting an xbox1 but I thought I would chime in since you mentioned Madden. I think Nba2K14 is a lock to be very good, if not great, but I'm worried about Madden. I've seen all of the videos, and they've changed since the first trailer. I remember the first next gen trailer we saw for Madden 06 and that game wasn't so great. I was really hoping EA would learn their lesson.

Ive read many blogs by EA developers, and they keep saying the game isn't where they want it to be yet, but they are laying the ground work. It's the next generation, I don't want to be optimistic about the future, I want to be blown away right now.

I know now this has been beat to death, but I miss NFL 2k

As always, skip the first year of Madden on a new console and wait til the second. With the exception of maybe Madden 2001, they are not worth buying. I'd almost say the same for 2k, but it looks they really put some effort into it.

Madden certainly isn't a must have of mine. I was just going off the buy 2 get 1 free list gamespot reported so far which is: FIFA 14, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Knack, Madden NFL 25, Battlefield 4, and NBA 2K14. I wouldn't play Fifa much, the new Assassin's Creed doesn't intrigue me. I have BF4 for my PC. It there are some other options I probably wouldn't even get madden.

I really was hoping Madden would be good, but I'm not very optimistic at this point. I think I may just buy NBA 2k14 and hold off a year on madden. I'm almost wishing I would have preordered a ps4 instead. The trailer for MLB The show 15 looks insane.

i'm not going tonight, but i also didnt pre-order but will be attempting to get one tomorrow. i think they are gonna be plenty left around honestly. i've got a couple of best buys, a Fry's, a handful of game stops, a few walmarts, targets and etc all around. i just can't see everywhere being sold out.

Played the PS4 at a kiosk at Best Buy.

Controller felt great. It only had like 10 demos to play, and nothing really that great. FIFA14 is what we played. Not really that much of a difference graphic-wise, but that's expected.

I wish they had a demo of 2K14 or NBA Live.

Jealous of you guys that have one. I want both systems.

I was going to take advantage of the Target deal for NBA2K14 & Injustice, but they don't have Injustice.
