      Strange Wilderness

Not a very good movie. I downloaded it cause it is a Happy Madison production which of course is the Adam Sandler production house. It also had most the usual characters that Adam Sandler movies use plus Jonah Hill who I liked in other movies but he had an annoying accent in this one and I just hated the story, the ending and just about everything about it. Not a good movie.

        Deja Vu

Denzel in yet another quite effective thriller. Had my palms sweating. Nice sci-fi touches with the past-viewer-mechanism thingy.

Indiana Jones was pretty good. There were several times when I had to roll my eyes - very chesy in parts, but overall it was good

saw the new Indiana Jones movie, let's just say that if you want to even pretend to enjoy this film you are going to have to suspend disbelief at the door and not worry to much about things like plot or story telling.

Other than that it was fine.

Re: What movie did you last watch?

In the spirit of getting along and being a gentler kinder world leader, one that people like France can admire, I think we should ban the new Indy Jones movie and write letters of apology to the UN. I read where the Russian gov't was incensed over how their predecessors are portrayed in this movie (based in the late 50's cold war era). So, in the spirit of being a good neighbor we should change the movie antagonists or ban it altogether.

                National Treasure

Not too bad. Not the greatest but entertaining enough

National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets

Again not bad. There will be a 3rd one.

Re: What movie did you last watch?

Yeah with Indy 4 I told myself very early into it "OK, just think of it as a rollercoaster: Fun, but Jones is very much on the rails with no chance of falling off." After that I liked it pretty well.

Just saw it. It was fine. A lot of the complaints I heard were silly.

Re: What movie did you last watch?

I just saw two of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I was very quickly transported into the environments provided by the films. The characters speak like real people. They occupy the world I occupy.

                          Dance Party USA

                          Quiet City

Both films are by writer/director Aaron Katz. Both were shot on video for a few thousand dollars. And both are now available on DVD in a single two-disc set.

                          I'm completely blown away.

I'm pretty picky about what movies I'll actually go out and see... and I can tell you for a fact that I think this one is by far the worst. I even liked Temple of Doom better. I didn't even feel like Indy was the main character in this one... he was basically a prop in a Shia LeBeouf movie, and that's pretty sad.

                              Infamous.

Still haven't seen Capote, but this one was pretty fantastic. Since Capote has even better IMDB and Tomatoes ratings, I'm fairly excited for that one now. Toby Jones was amazing and Sandra Bullock was pretty impressive. Hard to believe that Harper Lee performance was done by the same melodramatic hack from Crash and all those chick flicks.

Anyone seen both and have any opinions? Or just have any opinions on Capote?

I also saw the movie "Flawless" over the weekend - movie with Demi Moore and Michael Cane. It was pretty good - nothing great, but I enjoy this type of movie.
