Watched Shakespeare in Love last night....man I loved that
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

Hey missi or anyone else who has seen the Phantom of the Opera movie. Was it good? I've seen the actual thing live in London and I dont want to ruin it if the movie isn't any good.

I watched "The Terminal" with Tom Hanks last night, very very good. Rent it if you haven't seen it already.

Wasn't that great? I love clever humor. I wish I could abduct random groups of theatregoers who are in line to see the latest Ben Stiller moronfest (Ben Stiller; the Steve Guttenberg of our generation-no talent and is constantly putting out movies) and show them how smart comedy is done. I'm not even a fan of the Dawn of the Dead movies and I still found Shaun some really witty viewing.

I really want to see that. I knew about it coming to theatres, but lost track of it's release and have no idea when it's coming to video. I'm not a big Bale fan, but his intensity really lends itself to certain roles and that looks like one of them. I'm REALLY hyped to see him as Batman. I suspect it will be a case of dead on perfect casting.

As for recent viewing, I just got around to watching I, Robot. Entertaining, but not great. There was a some distracting stupidity in it. ( What's the deal with the kid who stops him on the street? Obviously rationale for him even being in the movie is on the cutting room floor. It made no sense. And why were the Robots still active at the end? How stupid was it in the warehouse full of thousands of robots for Will to track a single robot down using the technique that he used?)

Don't get me wrong, it WAS a fun movie to watch and had a great look, but when I see glaring plot holes, it distracts me and reminds me that I'm watching a movie, rather than allowing me to get lost in the film.

Oh yeah, I also watched the Color Purple on cable yesterday. What a wonderful, wonderful movie. Touching without being smaltzy.
Hey! What're you kicking me for? You want me to ask? All right, I'll ask! Ma'am, where do the high school girls hang out in this town?

If know if documentaries count (I did get it from Netflix so it's kind of like renting a movie right?), I watched Triumph of the Underdog last night. Documentary on Charles Mingus made after his death. Has a bunch of unseen archival footage which is cool to see. Interviews with his family and other musicians. Good stuff.

Picked up some new stuff in Chinatown last weekend but haven't had a chance to really get into it yet. I'm just dying to watch Osaka Wrestling Resturaunt though; looks completely wacky and has Sammo Hung (& son) in it. It could be terrible but I just have to see it.

                      I watched constatine.

                      Not a bad movie.

There were a few times when I said, "Look, it looks like a scene out of the matrix!"

But over all it was pretty good, and even some good laughs in there.

                        The Bourne Supremacy

Pretty good action movie. The handheld camera shakiness was slightly distracting after a while, but enough enough to really, really bother me.

The movie is nothing like the book. I mean pretty much absolutely nothing. But the first one diverged signficantly anyway, so I supposed that's fine.

BTW: The Bourne Identity is a really, really good book. One of my favorites and highly recommended.

I watched Waynes World with my 9-year old son. It is funny to watch him banging his head to Bohemian Rhapsody.

Rocky II and the AC/DC video I watch when I'm on the treadmill. Good stuff to give you a bit of adrenaline when working out. It's funny, I forgot how quickly the whole "Rocky's bad eye" thing gets dropped like a hot potato. Here he is labled "damaged goods" b/c of his bad eye, and we never hear about it in the following movies.
