Last movie I seen was Something the Lord Made



We don't get HBO in canada so I had to wait till the DVD was out to see it. Well worth the wait.

I also seen "Ray" the other day. Based on the life of Ray Charles, im sure you all know the story now since its been talked about on every single tv program. I wasn't as impressed with the movie as others have been. It was quite boring to be honest, I've seen this story a million times, Drugs, cheat on the wife, success and then at the end they live happily ever after.... Thats his life but i've seen it so many times it was unoriginal. The only highlights of the movie for me was the music and Foxx's performance which was also over hyped.

I've seen all the best actor nominee movies now and theres no doubt I would give it too Don Cheadle for Hotel Rwanda. Unfortunetly because Ray Charles recently passed away and the hype the movie is getting Foxx already has his name written on the trophy.

He really think Foxx's performance is overhyped? As a longtime fan of Ray Charles, I thought Foxx did an excellent job.

I still don't know what to think of it too be honest. It's just with all the hype its getting I assumed it would have been a lot better. Its a very touching and moving movie but I have seen this story so many times before its not that great for me. Foxx's performace was extremely well done but the movie is just so played out that it doesn't merit as much value to me. Don Cheadle in Hotel Rwanda is 10x better imo.

This is Spinal Tap and Rainman. Both were quite enjoyable, from a movie and another perspective. (not that it was actually that devilish)

My Little Eye. Horror movie with a good storyline, but the acting is not that great. I liked it overall.

I thought "My Little Eye" was a little disappointing I loved SAW though and have just seen "Hotel Rwanda", good movie a little comparable to "The Killingfields" and "Warriors" IMO.

I just finished watching The Machinist. Excellent movie, everything about it was great. Its a very dark/creepy movie though, reminds me a lot of Memento but more intense. Its hard to explain the story and I don't want to give away too much so heres yahoo's summary:

Trevor Reznik (Bale) is wasting away. He hasn't slept in a year, which has led to a shocking deterioration of his physical and mental health. His only solace comes from his call-girl girlfriend (Leigh) when his world becomes a living nightmare as cryptic notes turn up in his apartment and he has visions of a co-worker nobody else can see. Determined to find answers, he embarks on a journey of self-awareness, but the more he learns, the less he wants to know.

Yeah, "Lock, Stock" is pretty good. They used to air a TV-series of it aswell a few years ago, wasn't too bad either.

Just watched "The Mission" again. Wow! Remains an impressive movie and I just LOVE the music by Ennio Morricone!

Just finished watching Shaun of the Dead. Hilarious movie, I highly recommend it.
