    Re: Airlines

I do not recommend American Airlines either.

    Old planes, rude employees.

I was going to Spain and we were delayed a total of 6 hours inside the plane. 4 for rain and 2 because the plane broke down from running too long. We were not allowed to use the bathroom or have water during that time because it was still on the tar mat, but everyone did anyway and were fed up with the attendants attitudes.

They are a big enough airline to be able to invest in new planes and better service.

I'm surprised people choose airlines these days. I've always just used sites that search them all and flown whatever was cheapest.

I usually just take Southwest because it's fairly cheap, but I'd like to twy a different airline this time to Miami.
In 49 states it's just basketball, but this is Indiana!

As someone who travels a lot, there is no real difference between the airlines in the US. Everyone has different opinions based on one or two stories of having a bad personal flight experience, but really all of them are completely the same.

The difference between first class and coach however, let's just say I enjoy my free alcohol and ability to sleep on the aisle and still have the guy in the window get through without waking me up.

I'm going to the Middle East on Air Canada in two weeks, I just booked it because it was the cheapest. Is it any different than your typical American airline?

Not terrible. A few delays, but that was mostly in the winter. My one real complaint would be that their economy class seems to have less leg room than most international airlines. Overall, a better airline than Continental and Delta- my only experiences with American airlines.

I've travelled to Qatar and the UAE on direct flights through Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways. I'd opt for those three because they offer direct routes from a few major North American hubs- international connections are a headache I prefer not to deal with, price be damned.

Are you taking a star alliance airline to the ME?

I am transferring onto Royal Jordanian, I imagine that's in the star alliance.

Have traveled domestically more times then I care to. Song airlines used to be my favorite, but they have since merged with someone else (or went bankrupt)

I normally fly United, and with the exception of one flight I have nothing bad to say about them. Flew Delta once and they weren't bad, weren't great. Only flew southwest once, wasn't thrilled with them, but I like having my seat assigned up front

I am getting ready to start looking for flights for St. Lucia, definitely will be a new expereince
