TMZ has confirmed TV pitchman Billy Mays was found dead today in his home in Tampa, Florida early this morning.

According to the Tampa PD, the 50-year-old TV pitchman was found unresponsive by his wife Deborah at 7:45 AM.

TMZ has learned Mays' body has already been removed from his home.

Mays had just returned from Philadelphia, where he shot a new OxiClean commercial. He was a passenger aboard a plane that suffered a blown front tire upon landing. He told a local TV station, "All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."

We're told Mays was at his home around 6:00 PM last night, and according to a source Mays was "acting fine and normal ... he was talking business with his father-in-law."

According to cops, there are no signs of forced entry to the residence and no foul play is suspected.

The Medical Examiner's office is expected to complete the autopsy by tomorrow afternoon.

Billy's wife Deborah just released the following statement:

Although Billy lived a public life, we don't anticipate making any public statements over the next couple of days. Our family asks that you respect our privacy during these difficult times.

The always say celebrity deaths come in threes, but after Ed, Farrah, and MJ bought it, Billy Mays made it new and improved and threw in the 4th absolutely free.

I had a friend who was on that flight with him yesteday, the one going to florida that had the tire blow on the landing.

I'm going to miss his infomercials, always kept me entertained. RIP Billy Mays.

The bonk on the head and then dying a sudden death less than 24 hrs later is awfully coincidental... if it's coincidence at all.

....his wife, Deborah Mays, told investigators he didn't feel well before he went to bed about 10 p.m. that night.

He was scheduled for a hip replacement according to reports so besides the bonk on the head there's always the possibility of pain medication being a factor (which you'd assume anyone needing a hip replacement would be battling some pain).

...and at 50 years old heart failure wouldn't be out of the question either...

Billy Mays dies and is soon told that his task is to hawk a CD by a new band. He's sent to a rehearsal hall to hear the band.

First, in walks Jaco Pastorius with his bass. Billy is amazed to see how good he looks.

Then in walks Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn. They are both carrying their guitars and talking about how happy they are with the tone of their new amps. Billy is stunned to see such musicianship coming together.

Then in walks a guy who hops on stage behind the keyboards. It's Danny Federici from the E Street Band. Being a Springsteen fan, Billy immediately recognizes him.

Finally Billy speaks up: BILLY MAYS HERE. LET ME SAY I AM SO LUCKY TO BE ABLE TO PROMOTE THIS SUPERGROUP HERE IN HEAVEN!!

The musicians look at each other quizzically before Stevie Turns to Billy and says "Heaven?" ... and in walks Karen Carpenter who takes her seat behind the drums and begins clicking off the first song "1-2... 1-2-3-4..."

I found them entertaining also. The show Pitchmen on Discovery was interesting too.

At the funeral, he sits up in the casket and says: "But wait, there's more !!!!"

You didn't need Karen Carpenter in that room. Billy Mays talking to them would have been enough of a clue.

Nope. However, I've found that when the 4th death comes it means they're coming in multiples of 3. My money is on Walter Cronkite to be next.
