when I was 11 or 12 or so I shot a blackbird down with a bb gun. my neighborhood buddy lived on the edge of a golf course and they seemed to have a nest in the pines that marked the property line and they were really loud and his family would shoot them down for fun. it came to my turn and I tried to aim ahead of his (I hope it was a him) flight path to "miss" but he flew into it and nosedived straight down to the ground and just stayed there twitching. I had to go over and stomp on it to end it.

this haunts me to this day and I had to tell someone.

Officials say scammers are calling members of the public, posing as U.S. Marshals or Deputy Marshals, claiming they have a warrant for their arrest. The warrants are allegedly for failing to appear for a federal grand jury, missing federal jury duty service or failing to respond to a federal subpoena or summons.

The caller then claims arrest can be avoided by paying a fine or fee. The potential victim is given a contact phone number and told to buy a prepaid money or debit card to pay the fine.

I know the answer is yes, but I have to ask.... Are people really this freakin' stupid ??

any of you guys have some cheap-o home remedy for a faulty laptop charging jack? I need a new one anyway but it's plugged in and keeps cycling between charging/not charging every like 10 seconds while it's plugged in.

Is your laptop still under warranty? Maybe go back to the manufacturer and see if you can get it replaced?
