        I look in the mirror
        and what do I see
        it depends on the day
        and whether I'm free

the voices tell me I've got work to do
so I fire up the chipper
        and stuff those bones through

Voices can be good on a lonely rainy day. Unless you have firearms or knives at hand.

during the 350 mi trip home yestidday, the voices pointed out 7 pretty lakes and wouldn't it be fun to drive off into them?

Let's hope the Geezer has pontoons.

Life is like that... one day drinking whiskey carrying on killing deer having fun and the next you're looking to suck seaweed.

Get you a big slice of key lime hope and change brother.

                        Re: Random, Scattered Disturbed Thoughts

Valentine Morning...3 inches of fresh snow on the ground...About 7 AM I was sipping on a cup of coffee while looking out the kitchen window. I saw movement at the edge of the woods about 200 ft way. Meandering there were 11 hen turkey, 3 doe deer, and a yearling fawn. As I watched, a group of turkey began scratching the ground and feeding. As they did so one of the doe ran over to them, scattering them about, and began foraging where the turkey had been. The scattered birds regrouped a few feet away and again started scratching the ground for food. Once again, this same doe lunged at the feeding birds and took over their feeding grounds. As I, the other two doe, and the fawn stood and watched, the larcenous doe continued her mistreatment of the turkey in this manner for about 20 minute. Finally they all filtered back into the woods and out of sight. I wonder how long the turkey had to put up with this miscreant deer yesterday and if they are there again this morning.

I like to scratch myself when I eat a turkey sandwich.

Could post this in the movie thread but it seems like it'll fit better here.

I've been replacing my VHS's with DVD's, usually bought at some bargain place for 5 bucks or so - then I have to watch the film before pitching the VHS because sometimes the DVD has scratches or something. Picked up Basic Instinct and watched it Friday night.

As I was watching it, I found myself amazed at how much less I used the rewind button than I did 15 years ago. I think I'm getting old.
