Re: What TV Show Did You Last Watch
I was under the impression that "True Detective" would keep going with 8 episode series, but with a different cast each season. So the arc around McConaughey & Harrelson ends after 8 episodes, and next season they pair up two new "detectives" and a new story/setting. I think Andy Greenwald touched on this in some of his columns/mailbags on Grantland.Comment

Boss & Party Down canceled after two seasons. Magic City etc. still live on. Sigh.Comment

Spartacus started out campy as all hell but improved as it went along. It went from nothing more than a guilty pleasure to a decent show by the end.
I'm hopeful that Black Sails does the same but I've been unimpressed so far."I had to take her down like Chris Brown."

I enjoyed Spartacus. It wasn't particularly great (Rome on HBO is one of my favorite ever series and is seriously underlooked at) but it was entertaining and some fun action sequences
Sometimes shows need time to get their bearingDon't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.Comment

Re: What TV Show Did You Last Watch
Perfect length for this series, I think, and I hope it inspires HBO (or even Netflix) to try more things in this mold. Don't have to commit the budget/timeslot of a whole season, can still tell a compelling story over multiple episodes.
Really, something like Dune would kick ***, or if they would have done Watchmen that way (though obviously budget concerns there).
if you're watching True Detective you should really read this

Shameless tonight...wow. I don't know if I've ever been more emotionally invested in a TV series. Tonight was an amazing, tough, rewarding, exhausting watch. And I get the sense it's just setting up the stretch run...Comment

Second Game of Thrones trailer:
This is the first season I'll be going into already knowing a lot of what happens (because I've now heard the audio books for the first three books and the first chunk of book 4), but I still can't wait to see it come to life.Comment

Don't watch The Following, just don't. I can't stop and I freaking hate it.
Spoiler:I didn't hate it till "the farm" episode half way through last season, by then it was just to F'ing stupid to take the least bit seriously. EVERYONE is a cult member, EVERYONE.
I'm afraid I'm cult member and just don't know it yet. I to want to kill Ryan Hardy (The main player good guy) for being a complete F'ing moron."Just look at the flowers ........ BANG" - Carol "The Walking Dead"Comment

I can't wait for The Game Of Throne to start back.
I'm seriously in Love with Daenerys Targaryen, aka Daenerys Stormborn, aka Khaleesi, aka Mother of Dragons."Just look at the flowers ........ BANG" - Carol "The Walking Dead"Comment
