Just started watching another Sorkin show... Sports Night.

Liking it a lot so far. I feel like they throw a laugh track in there for no reason and it harms the atmosphere, but you can see them talk a lot about the issues about sports that were present in the late 1990s and remain issues today.

The laugh track in Sports Night really was terrible. Sorkin never wanted it and it got forced on him from the network. Haven't watched it in a long time so not sure on the timing but he eventually phased it out completely, by the end of the first season I think.

I hadn't watched any of Ray Donovan but I had DVR'd all of the episodes to date. Set down to watch the pilot ended up watching all 3. It's a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Not in the class of the Sopranos but I'd say with a lower budget it's really as good as Boardwalk Empire.

Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Just as awesome as it ever was. No show can make me laugh like this one can. I'll miss Drew Carey, because I don't see Ryan Stiles picking on the new host as much. But I really like the addition of a guest star (Kevin McHale was fantastic), and as long as Ryan and Collin are around, it'll be funny. (Plus, Wayne Brady is just a whole bunch of talent.)

The pilot was very good. My main issue with it was that Kruger's character comes off as a boring Carrie Mathison clone. I'm hoping this is something they adjust as the show goes on.

Didn't bother with "Hemlock Grove", though I plan to check out "Orange is the New Black" at some point.

Orange is really, really, really good. Slightly fundamental in is structure (each ep featuring how one of the inmates got there), but nearly flawless in execution and completely unafraid of its subject matter. I'm not even halfway through, but I feel safe saying it's one of the best shows on TV/not TV. We've had so many great new shows for 2013. The fourth episode is easily one of the best episodes of a show this year, so subversive and still completely satisfying. Also one of the few good shows with a long name that is also a complete sentence.

I started watching Downton Abbey on Mon night. I'm now through the first 2 seasons (wed night). I can't stop watching this. It's so addicting and a ton of fun
