The show does have a campy feel to it, where it's good when you can just ride along with it. But I had some of the same issues you had rewatching it with others.

I can't really see a happy ending for any of the main characters at this point.

Yeah, no way it ends happily for Walter White. I'd like to see Jesse ride off in to the sunset happy though.

I'm on board with the show with one exception: The daughter. I hate it when writers treat a child like an adult with the way they write her dialog.

Yeah, You're right. The "wise beyond years kid" who teaches the parent a thing or two has gotten way beyond old and I'm with you in that she doesn't talk like a kid.

I just started Battlestar Galactica for the first time ever. I have no idea what to make of it through about 6 episodes plus the mini series that started it.

It eventually loses it's teeth imo, plus the ratio of canadians to americans to too big. It has some interesting themes especially about religion but I never finished it.

I enjoyed it to the finish line. It felt like an unofficial successor to the 90s Star Trek shows. Building on some of the ideas from those shows and evolving in tone and story line from where they kind of left off.

I liked it. The plot line gets twisted and illogical to prolong the series. But they finished it strong. There are a few WTF moments in it.


Finally watching 24. I am in the 6th season. Love the last two. Season 3 was meh. No Kim Bauer sucks though.

Yes, the more you think about the central premise, the more ridiculous it gets. But it was still fun, and if nothing else makes a wonderful Star Wars-reference drinking game. Extremely well shot, wonder how it'll fair when Favreau isn't directing.

Oh, and here should be the basis of Sony's next Playstation ad campaign.

The New Normal

I continue to hate how they write children on this show. Not that the adult stuff all rings true either, but it comes a lot closer than the daughter and the stuff that happened at school.

I'm going to try to not let that scare me away from the show because I enjoy the stuff with the main four adults.

Anyone else surprised that Homeland pretty much swept the Emmy's. I acknowledge it is a quality show, but with better shows also nominated, I don't think it is close to Breaking Bad or Mad Men. BB should have taken best drama
