Re: What TV Show Did You Last Watch

Breaking Bad is a great great show. It has been several months since I watched season#2 and I remember so many scenes even today.

OK I am 7 episodes into Mad Men I don't know about this show. It is oddly addicting, I want to keep watching and yet there are tims when it really gets on my nerves, and I feel like I don't want to watch it anymore. I understand a slow burn, I understand it being subtle, and the type of show where more is going on underneath the surface, but I cannot say I love this show.

I cannot imagine ever liking Mad Men nearly as much as I love The Wire, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Damages.

It was a love affair that built up for me as well. I can't say that I fell in love with Mad Men right after the first 10 episodes - but it made me want to watch it just to see what will happen and by the end of 4th season - I'm definitely counting Mad Men amongst the other shows which you have listed.

Luckily my internet is terrible so there is no fear of rushing through seasons...

I would hold off saying it's great but I think it is very good.

The only thing I question is whether on not they should have used historical figures to the extent that they have.

I dig their interpretation of Al Cappone but I really question the way they have portrayed Meyer Lansky and I really really question the portrayal of Lucky Luciano.

But other than that it is a very good show that does what all good shows do, it gets better with time.

I look forward to next season.

I think you will like it.

Man, I REALLY liked it. I have to admit, I've always had a fascination with that time period anyway, but this really got me hooked. I find almost every character intriguing; Seeing a woman navigate a mysogonistic landscape, seeing a black man trying to insinuate himself into their culture....and the Federal agent flat out makes me laugh. He is hysterical, in my twisted, black humor, mind. Now if Jimmy wasn't such a reactionary moron. I hate him. I'm okay with the way they've done the historical figures, for the most part. At least it's not glaringly distracting, like some shows would have done. Big fun watching a whole series in one week.
Hey! What're you kicking me for? You want me to ask? All right, I'll ask! Ma'am, where do the high school girls hang out in this town?

I really really liked the way that showed Cappone's progression from childish clown to serious gangster and why it occured.

Yea that Fed. agent was a riot, I really enjoyed the news the woman dropped on him in the end there. We'll see how that plays out.

I watched the two hour premiere of The Cape. Some parts were a bit hokey (very few superhero shows are not), but overall we enjoyed the show. Looking forward to seeing more episodes.

Speaking of which, Smallville has got me hooked again, simply for the rebuilding of the mythos. I can do without the melodramatic stuff that drove me away.

I felt likie there was a vacuum for a while with animated stuff. I dearly missed Justice League, but now I'm in serious fanboy heaven.

And also along those lines, I can't WAIT for Young Justice!

Caught part one of the season premiere this weekend. Very much a spinoff of Justice League Unlimited (which should never have been taken off IMO) so it is drawn and written in the exact same style which is cool by me.

Have you kept up on the Avengers? My God this latest one with Kang laid the foundation for sooooooooooooooo many upcoming story's.

In this one they never talk about but you know if you know they are talking about the following.

The Illuminati, Ultron wars, The Superhero Registration act, the Civil War, the Kree/Skrull war, The Invasion (skrull incursion into earth as super hero's).

They really laid the foundation for Cap vs. Iron Man for Civil War in this one.

Just getting ready to watch The Cape pilot....opening credits are rolling, and Summer Glau is in it! Woohoo. I hope. I mean I hope it's like the Firefly or Terminator Summer Glau, and not The Unit Summer Glau.

I watched the 2 hour (?) sneak preview a month ago for Young Justice and eventually really liked it. At first, I got kinda irritated cause I got to thinking, "They aren't showing me WHY these youngsters have the stuff to be grown up heroes", but then there's a big fight at the end where they work as a team that I really hope they build upon. I have really pined for JLI and I think this can fill the void for me.

As to Avengers, I am REALLY loving this show. They aren't being shy about moving the story and plots along. There is such a wealth of history wit the Avengers and they picked a great period to mine from. I'm only halfway through the latest episode and so far, I was pretty amused at Hulk and Hawkeye (Who they have captured perfectly with his personality and charisma) laughing at iron Man and Hawkeye elbowing Hulk in laughter. No fear, just yucking it up with a teammate. It's one of the shows I can't wait to watch each week.

Kester, I got halfway through The Cape and gave up on it. It's so...uninspired. Nothing clever. Nothing original. My main goal for trying to watch it is that i love Summer and Keith Davis, but...meh. I won't be watching any more episodes.

bellissimo, HIMYM peaked and has been downhill for the past two years for me. I want to watch it, but with all the other great stuff on TV, it got squeezed out of my viewing schedule.

BTW, did anyone watch Luther on BBC with Idris Elba?? I'm been catching up on past episodes. He approached cop work the way I wish I could.

HIMYM has improved this season - atleast it feels that way for me.

anyone else looking forward to Spartacus: Gods of the Arena?

A few more episodes of season #2 of Mad Men and Peggy is by far my favorite character.

This show gets under your skin

How could Duck just discard that dog like that. The look on the dogs face was so sad. The dog deserves an Emmy
