San Diego was definently overlooked, though I think they're a pretty solid team as well, and could be last playoff team.

"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

The Texans know if they do not win this game the season is definitely over. If they win it could kick off a possible win streak with winnable games coming up. Reliant Stadium will be rocking with Keenum making his first home start. It is fun living down here and hearing the talk on the radio everyday.

The Colts seem to play to the level of their opponents. Close, ugly game.

21-16 - another 4th quarter comeback for Luck.

                  Re: Week 9: @ Texans

This one is kind of tough to predict. On one hand, we are clearly a better team than them at this point. On the other hand, they always treat our visits down there like its the Super Bowl. They will be pumped up for this game because it's about all they have left to look forward to this season. Plus I am a little nervous to see how the offense looks without Reggie Wayne. This is the biggest on the field challenge that Luck has faced in his career, and he will no doubt miss his always-reliable HOF security blanket. Guys like T.Y., DHB, and Fleener must step up NOW.

Pacerdude brings up a good point about the Colts playing to their level of opponents. We struggled to beat Oakland, lost to Miami and San Diego, yet beat SF, Seattle, and Denver. As much as I hope that the Colts go down there and completely embarrass Houston, I think that the first game without Wayne and the fact that the Texans will treat this game like its the Super Bowl will mean that it's a close game.

Texans are a bad team. Colts roll easily. 38-14

Texans are desperate, at home, and playing in prime time. They lose, their season is over. They win, they are still in the mix. We are going to get their best shot.

                        INDIANAPOLIS COLTS MAKE ROSTER MOVES
Posted by coltsindianapolis on October 29, 2013 – 6:38 pm

The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent tight end Weslye Saunders to the active roster and tackle Xavier Nixon to the practice squad. The team also waived cornerback Daxton Swanson from Injured Reserve.

Saunders, 6-5, 261 pounds, has played in 27 career games (10 starts), catching six passes for 44 yards and a touchdown. He was originally signed by the Colts as a free agent on October 16, 2012 and appeared in 11 games (four starts) last year, recording two catches for 15 yards. Saunders was waived by the Colts on July 25, 2013.

Nixon was originally signed to the Colts active roster off the Washington Redskins practice squad on September 24, 2013. He was inactive for all four games before being waived on October 28. He was originally signed by the Redskins as an undrafted free agent on May 2 and was waived on August 31. Nixon was then signed to the team’s practice squad the following day.

Swanson was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2013 and was waived-injured on August 31. He graduated Sam Houston State as the school’s all-time leader in interceptions with 14 and ranks second in all-time interception return yardage (228).

Now wait a minute. The Colts waived Saunders after he was suspended for 8 games. Has he served that suspension? Do the 8 weeks of the season played so far count as 8 games of the suspension, even though he wasn't on a roster? I guess it must.

The move comes three months after the Colts (5-2) waived Saunders after he was suspended eight games by the league for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy. He has six career receptions for 44 yards and one touchdown in 27 career games. Last season with Indy, Saunders caught two passes for 15 yards.

Many things went wrong in that game. Inability to catch the ball, bogus playcalling and a whale for a Linebacker hilariously trying to cover TEs or catch a running back.
