    Re: Browns-Colts thread

There's still time for the team I claim to be a fan of to lose so that I can pretend to be right on a message board even though they've already won more games than I predicted.

Very sad state of affairs for one self-proclaimed fan.

It's too bad Luck didn't force the ball into tight coverage instead of running for those two touchdowns.

I mean really, what was he thinking....

"Certain members" are trying to make me feel the same way about Luck, so yeah this goes for both sides, in my case I like both players a lot so it would be hard for me to hate either player.

"Certain members" love to crap on RG3 so they can feel better about themself and don't recognize how good the guy is, I do talk about RG3 but I also recognize that Luck is pretty damn good.

Perhaps he was thinking that he really just wants to get hurt and end this miserable season. He will get hurt if he continues to do that, he is no RGIII and he is no running back....

I don't hate either player but given this is a Colts forum, it makes no sense to hate on Luck here. The only reason people point out RG3 mishaps is because a "certain poster" continuously attacks Luck and claims we should have drafted RG3. The disdain for RG3 is just a byproduct of many poster's disdain for RG3's biggest fan.

I will be happy to be wrong about how many losses they take this year. By the way, I can't even read that green type. I didn't know what it said until I was doing the reply.

the problem is if the Colts would have drafted RGIII, Ol'blue would be saying we should have drafted Luck right now

QB rating. When you are only a little over being a 50% passer you won't rate very highly. RGIII is over 70%. RGIII plays in the toughest division in the NFL and the Colts play in the weakest..... That will make a difference in the record. I look for Washington to finish from 6-10 to 8-8. They have a very touch schedule. I don't expect the Colts to be close to that but I will be pleasantly surprised if they are.....

I agree with this I had my doubts about RG3 but he really has been rather impressive at this point that being said its his style of play that worries me because I'm not sure how long he'd last on the field.

I think both teams chose the right player for them.

No, I wouldn't. I would be saying just what I am saying that the Colts should not have drafted either one of them. Keep Manning and take all of those draft picks and get several starters and a QB to develop. You would win a lot more games over the next ten years if the they had done that......

Luck has just as many wins as Peyton. Great draft pick
Being unable to close out a game in which you have a comfortable lead in the 4th Q = Pulling a Frank Vogel

If you are talking about me, I don't think they should have drafted RGIII either..... They needed all of those draft picks they would have pocketed and they could have picked a QB lower to develop behind Peyton Manning. I did think from long before the season that RGIII was going to be a star and Luck would struggle. I think the stats and what they do for their team proves that to be true. Luck may develop into a good QB over three or four years but RGIII will have already been a star all of those years.... I don't think RGIII's odds of being hurt are much different that Luck's.....
