I know that we would like to believe that there is some magical defensive scheme that will stop LeBron from hitting contested shots and Wade from splitting the defense and getting into the lane, but there is none. If you double, then you leave open shooters. The Pacers have to beat the heat in the first three quarters because if its close in the 4th LeBron is going to make it happen.
We beat them in a close game last year in Miami.

I think he meant in this thread.

He was 1 of 12 at one point, so he had made 3 of his last 4 shots.

The Pacers had no reason to lose tonight, the Heat played like **** up to the 4th quarter. The Pacers were just worse and Vogel has an inability to sub the correct players, it's all the same thing from last year. PG reverted to game 7 last year and started turning the ball over at the end of the game. This is a more frustrating loss because we could have easily won. The series is early, we will see if the Pacers are really better than the Heat.

Yes, this thread (and the game thread) are breeding grounds for insanity--especially against the Heat, and especially in the playoffs.

Honestly, probably been said already. But I felt we lost this game when DWEST got poked in the eye. Sucks but that happens.

As much as I hate sitting on this loss, we got banged up at the end of the game. PG tapped on the head. DWEST eye poke. HIBB knee?. Lance tweeked his ankle on the late 3. The extra day of rest will benefit us.

Tough loss but we can play much better. Just hope all the players are good to go and healthy for Saturday.

I am not one to criticize coaches generally but I wish we stay home on the 3 pointers when Lebron drives.
ANDY: I guess it comes down to a simple choice, really. Get busy winning or get busy losing.

The second lamest excuse in sports behind blaming the refs is blaming the coach.

Our bench went from what could've been:

                          Watson/Green/Granger/Plumlee to Watson/RASUAL BUTLER/Scola/Mahinmi

That wouldve made a huge difference this game. Scola was TOXIC out there.

Well that was sort of the plan from the start of this season right?

Long series. Gonna take a walk.

We lost because the cHeats turned up the defensive intensity and we didn't hit shots (hello DWest and PG). Our D was fine, we reb. well and took care of the ball for the most part.

didn't hit shots....gonna be tough in Miami, but we gotta steal one.
