Re: Offseason News, Trades, Rumors, Etc.
I dunno. They'd need someone at the 2. I think Lebron could play the 2. He came into the league as one. Nothing stopping him from playing the 2. Paul did as well remember? They'd almost have to do that because looking at Houston's roster, they have no 2 guard besides Harden.
I think it'd be....
Jones
Melo
Howard
James
Beverly
Melo at the 2 I think he's too soft and slow to guard 2's. Doesn't have James ferocity and speed. Or stamina for that matter.Last edited by Ace E.Anderson; 06-25-2014, 08:09 PM.Comment

Kings talked to Suns about No. 8 pick but Kings wanted Goran Dragic. No shot. Suns have interest in Nik Stauskas but may not last to 14.

Just trading Harden for Melo would be a win for the Rockets and Knicks. If that lures LeBron out west then great, not the Pacers problem until the Finals anymore. I could also see Bosh tagging with LeBron to Houston if that happens, even if it's for the MLE for a year.

A bit of a WAG here but when I saw this my first thought was that it makes a lot of sense if there's a S&T in the works with the Clippers centering around Melo and DeAndre Jordan. Dalembert doesn't have much left and I can't see Phil taking a chance on sucking on an epic level if we have to watch Bargnani play center.
I like the trade though - Chandler's a fit type player and his fit isn't with us. Plus while he's still solid, he's not what he was 2-3 years ago. We'll see how Larkin turns out too. I liked him at Cincy, didn't see him last year."It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. Re: Offseason News, Trades, Rumors, Etc.
THIS APPARENTLY IS WHAT'S GOING DOWN.
The Golden State Warriors may be interested in trading for Chandler Parsons if the Houston Rockets need to create cap space by attaching Jeremy Lin.
Lin first played in the NBA with the Warriors.
Parsons will be a restricted free agent and the Rockets would like to re-sign him, but they are also interested in acquiring Carmelo Anthony and/or LeBron James.
The Rockets could acquire Carmelo Anthony in a sign-and-trade involving James Harden and then sign LeBron James outright.
In a radio appearance, Chris Broussard reported that the Houston Rockets and New York Knicks could agree upon a sign-and-trade of Carmelo Anthony for James Harden.
The Rockets could then sign LeBron James with anticipated cap space created by trading away Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin in order to form a Big 3 with Anthony and Dwight Howard.
James and Anthony have reported interest in playing together.
This is a lateral move.....at most, it's a slight improvement going from Harden to Melo on the offensive end.Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.Comment

It's a slight upgrade on both offense and defense, maybe more than slight on defense...not that Anthony is a great defender, just that Harden is really really awful..."It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. Could you even imagine how bad that lineup would be defensively? I'd guess Shumpert would start someplace though - might win 19.The poster formerly known as RimfireComment
