I've been a Rubio fan since day one so I'd love to see the Pacers try to get this guy, but I don't know about 12+, he is an awful scorer (not just shooter) and has been injured. He's a solid defender who could be a dominant defender given the right system and coaching (ie with the Pacers), and an exceptional passer, but he's such a black hole when he tries to score that it would be hard for any team to justify going over, say, 11m a year (and that would be a team that's counting on him to sell tickets because of his look and heritage).

But the idea of pairing him with Paul George and even a decent defender at the 2... opposing wings would stand no chance.

^^ They should make it an opening roof. It should tilt up on hinges.

One thing I did not consider.......if West is traded.....with Scola, we'd have a perfectly acceptable stop-gap replacement for West at a really cheap price.

That is the only scenario where I would consider keeping Scola for the rest of the season......to replace West in the Starting Lineup if he is traded for assets.

I would take it a step further, I would not be opposed to moving both guys provided we either get substantial cap relief or some decent, young talent in return. Age wise neither fit the plan moving forward IMO.

I'm no Wolves fan, but I sure never thought of Rubio as a potential lock down defender...

I'm cool with it as long as we get a top 15 pick next Summer for that package. If we go into next Summer with 2 top 15 picks I am throwing a draft party with pizza, drinks, and calzones all around!

                            Is Goran keepable now?

that's what I'm curious about. Bledsoe and Dragic played together fine last year and they got Thomas on a pretty great deal so in theory it could work, but I just can't see them locking up all 3 long term.

That's the tip of the iceberg....... next Summer they have to lock up Goran, both Morris twins, and Gerald Green...... to extensions. That's why I think Larry would be a fool not to target three of those four. Phoenix can always replace Goran with Rondo anyways. If we get two top 15 picks, PG coming back, and cap space....... maybe Hibbert plays himself into a valuable trade chip? Woo boy next Summer will be awesome.
