Can't remember, I think so, but I have a weird feeling that the team with the better record still gets home court.
    Why so SERIOUS

Me neither.

It feels like Houston is mentioned as a strong suitor in every transaction.

They have the Pelicans' likely lottery pick. It's protected 4-19 IIRC, meaning the Rockets get it if it's 4-19. So that's a really nice asset. Pelicans pick, Jones, Capela, future picks. I could see a Rondo deal, but then I'm skeptical as to Rondo's level of play going forward.

Their GM is HUNGRY for major/marketable moves that brings in a high profile star.

Yea, I think Parsons isn't getting as much respect around here as he should; I've always been impressed with his game. $15M might be a tad on the high side, but I could completely see him earning it, also. I think he'll fit nicely alongside Dirk. His game reminds me a little of Kukoc. He's an impressive player.

A lot of writers this past weekend were talking about how most other GMs don't like Morey. They think he's a dick basically and some won't even deal with him. This came about as a conversation between a pair of writers tlaking about how some GMs had openly expressed happiness and the joy they were taking in watching Houston strike out on every free agent they were targeting.

I think that Morey does so much anonymous talking to the press that his middle name could be "source."

Also, I don't think that Bird is the type that would move a Player just because another Player doesn't want to play with that Player. That seems very un-Bird-like.

Unless Bird thinks Hibbert sucks too.

Pelican's pick alone won't be worth Rondo or Love even if you toss in those two average players. Beverly is good defensively, but he's not that great of a starter, same for Jones. I think people lose sight of how elite the players we're talking about are. Rondo has offensive limitations, but he's elite defensively and maybe the best passing PG in the league. Love is Love, all that needs to be said. Pelican's have Anthony Davis, Gordon, and Evans ... if they are all healthy, they'll be at the lower end of that 4-19 spectrum, probably somewhere from 12-19. Davis is a legit MVP candidate already if he can get some help and get some W's.
