Re: Offseason News, Trades, Rumors, Etc.
So look for Rockets to re-enter trade game for longtime Houston target Rajon Rondo as well as try to work their way into mix for Kevin Love

Heat free agent Ray Allen isn't pressed to choose a team because he isn't certain if he still wants to play or retire, source told Yahoo.

As others have commented on those posts on Twitter, Houston literally has no assets of any value right now. None. Parsons? Gone. Lin? Gone. Asik? Gone. They aren't moving Dwight, Harden, or Ariza. So, you're left with Patrick Beverly, Terrence Jones, and that's about it in terms of value. Could you imagine a Beverly and Jones for Rondo deal? Me neither.Dear P_George,

It feels like Houston is mentioned as a strong suitor in every transaction. There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.Comment

Yea, I think Parsons isn't getting as much respect around here as he should; I've always been impressed with his game. $15M might be a tad on the high side, but I could completely see him earning it, also. I think he'll fit nicely alongside Dirk. His game reminds me a little of Kukoc. He's an impressive player. There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.Comment

Re: Offseason News, Trades, Rumors, Etc.
A lot of writers this past weekend were talking about how most other GMs don't like Morey. They think he's a dick basically and some won't even deal with him. This came about as a conversation between a pair of writers tlaking about how some GMs had openly expressed happiness and the joy they were taking in watching Houston strike out on every free agent they were targeting.

I am sure that there are other more valid reasons as to Hibbert is quietly being shopped other than Lance not wanting to play with him.
If Bird was that sensitive to Lance's needs that he would go as far as to look to trade Hibbert ( because Lance does not want to play with him ), then he would have done more to try to keep him....like offer him a more no-brainer $$$ offer than one that Lance is not super excited to sign.
Also, I don't think that Bird is the type that would move a Player just because another Player doesn't want to play with that Player. That seems very un-Bird-like.
Unless Bird thinks Hibbert sucks too.Comment

Re: Offseason News, Trades, Rumors, Etc.
They have the Pelicans' likely lottery pick. It's protected 4-19 IIRC, meaning the Rockets get it if it's 4-19. So that's a really nice asset. Pelicans pick, Jones, Capela, future picks. I could see a Rondo deal, but then I'm skeptical as to Rondo's level of play going forward.
Pelican's pick alone won't be worth Rondo or Love even if you toss in those two average players. Beverly is good defensively, but he's not that great of a starter, same for Jones. I think people lose sight of how elite the players we're talking about are. Rondo has offensive limitations, but he's elite defensively and maybe the best passing PG in the league. Love is Love, all that needs to be said. Pelican's have Anthony Davis, Gordon, and Evans ... if they are all healthy, they'll be at the lower end of that 4-19 spectrum, probably somewhere from 12-19. Davis is a legit MVP candidate already if he can get some help and get some W's.Dear P_George,
