Personally, I hope he has a great year in Phoenix. IMO, Walsh didn't understand the type of player Green was, and as Nuntius has said numerous times wasn't utilized properly by Vogel. He is a good fit in Phoenix. If he has a good season next year, I can see him getting a better contract than what Bird has offered Stephenson.
THIS 100%. Walsh didn't take into consideration our team make-up nor Green's strengths/weaknesses. I forgot he's a FA after this year.

I agree, Green can play himself into some good money for the next few years. PHX might be the best place for him, but I could see other up-tempo teams looking for him as well.

Um, forget about Lance for a few minutes. With all of these signings does this mean that don't have enough money to sign LaVoy Allen?

there has to be some trade we dont know about.... these signings make absolutely no sense... if Lance accepts the 5 year 44 mil we would be over the tax

Well it depends. If Hill or Roy is gone it changes everything. But signing LaVoy would be easy if you find a taker for Ian. Some tiny-tim West team with no real center will take him probably.

He already has a caphold of 3 million, so I think it's included in calculating the current cap situation.

Did you guys call him "Rodney Suckey" on your boards a lot?

When checking the numbers on what we can do, I'm pretty much assuming that we are going to dump Copeland at some point to a team under the cap. There will be teams out there with cap room that will have missed on the big free agents and have need for a shooter, I think there will be a market for him. Bird just signed two shooters and another big, and most likely plans to sign Lavoy Allen, Cope is not in the plans.

All I'm saying is, subtract that 4 million from our total salary and it paints a slightly different picture of what we can do.

Why dump Cope when you can dump Ian? Makes no sense. Ian is paid more and he stinks.

Case in point - if a Timberwolf fan were to come on this board and ask about the opinions on G.Hill, they're probably not going to come away with a non jaded opinion.
Evan Turner is way better than Rodney Stuckey, that's all that needs to be said, really.

I'd be disappointed if Copeland is traded, especially since we just signed a skinnier, less experienced version of the same guy (the European dude) to a 3 yr deal. I like the idea of us having a ton of floor spacers, especially if we keep Lance. If we don't, then teams are just gonna trap us on the wings since we have nobody who actually takes it to the rim.

I think Cavs are being well managed finally. A passing SF like Hayward would be amazing next to a scoring oriented PG like Irving and a developing wing in Wiggins. Interesting what they do with Dion Waiters if they end up getting Hayward. Would we want any part of that as a Lance replacement?

Kyrie is a big facilitator, but he really did not have good weapons to facilitate too, I think Hayward could possibly help with that, possibly even Wiggins especially if his shot becomes consistent.

Yes, you can....in Grimp's world......if the trade works on NBA2k14....it certain works in the real world.

I'm sorry Grimp, I ( and many here ) know that you are just trying to improve the Team.....but your many Trade Proposals makes WAY TOO MANY assumptions about Trade Value of a Player and what other Teams want/need, leaps of logic and requires about a million things to happen in order to justify what you are peddling.
