    Granger out for three weeks

    Granger to Miss Three Weeks
    Official Release

    October 28, 2013 | 10:00 a.m. EDT

Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger will miss approximately three weeks as he rehabilitates a strained left calf injury sustained in the preseason. The length of time is a precautionary measure as the team wants to ensure Granger is physically ready to play in light of missing all but five games last season due to his knee injury. The rehabilitation time is strictly related to the calf injury.

... If I said I was surprised by this I wouldn't be honest.

If I get any flak for being worried I am going to go nuts.

This is the beginning of the end for Granger as a Pacer.

So a calf injury is going to end his career?

correction: I didn't realize you meant just as a Pacer.

Bummer to hear this but unlike last year we have the depth to deal with it this year.

More than anything I feel bad for Danny who has to be dying to get out there and play.

Why would someone give you flak for being worried? Saying you are worried isn't proclaiming from the highest mountain that you knew this was a career ending injury two years before the injury even happened.

I don't know what's worse, three more weeks without Danny or hearing about it from vnzla. Just kidding! I know which one will be worse.

This is officially the line of delineation for me. I will be going through the stages of preparing myself for not relying on Danny at all this year. If he is a factor, great. But my hope is waning.

No I don't. I think he will come back and be productive until another little injury. And he won't be available fully in the playoffs. Granger will be the new Peja.

He will go to another team next year have a solid year. And then finds a Battier role on some team.

So the "minor injury" is so "minor" that he has to take about 4 weeks off to recover(26 days to be exact) interesting.....

It's a calf injury this time, and in a month or two it'll be something else.

Calf injuries need rest. Let him rest. We'll see what happens.

Lance isn't holding down the fort.....he is a major structural part of the fort.
