They have until January 7th to trade/cut him or his deal becomes full guaranteed. If it's before that either them or someone else that trades for him can cut him and save 6 mil.

Which means he'll get cut and go to South Beach.

Of course, Dan Gilbert owns the Cavs. He's not about to give Miami more ammo to get a ring. Of course, if he moves him somewhere else first it's not like he can just be like "OK, you SWEAR not to waive him as soon as I sign the paperwork?"

If he is waived teams under the cap bid for him. I can see the Hawks going for him with the loss of Horford.

I would not be surprised if he's acting like a head case to get out of Cleveland and play with LeBron. If this happens and he plays well...and Miami wins another championship, the NBA is basically fixed and really not worth watching.

Bynum isn't what he used to be, and playing him has its costs in terms of their mobility on defense and their ability to spread the floor on offense. We can beat them with or without him.

I consider a Pacers-Heat series to be a 50-50 toss up at this point. With such a razor thin margin, even if Bynum went there and gave them a tiny bit of rebounding and interior scoring that could be enough to tilt the series.
