Regarding Kobe's game... 11 for 33 is absolutely terrible. When he chucks it like that, the Lakers are almost guaranteed to lose everytime. In fact, I think the Lakers have a better chance of beating the Pacers without Kobe because they'll run the offense through Nash and Dwight.

Back on topic... Great win by the Pacers last night. It's always nice to see them weather the run of another team in the 4th, clamp down defensively, and execute on the offensive end.

He looks like a completely different player from November, have to give OJ a lot of credit for that, but also need to give credit to the vets on this team I think.

OJ already does some really high level things, I go back to this drive and finish around KG specifically. He was decisive as soon as he got by KG, this is something Paul needs to work on. Occassionally, Paul will put a good move on a guy and be open and he acts like he is so surprised that he is open that he doesn't know what he wants to do wtih this sudden freedom and a lot of times he will force up a jumper then or he waits too long and the D recovers. Attack the rim Paul! OJ understands that when OJ gets his man beat he goes right into score at the rim mode, I love that.
Agreed. If Granger could somehow get healthy and back to 1/2 of what he was last year, our bench for the playoffs would look very good. Augustin, Johnson, Granger, Hansbrough, Mahinmi

Yeah, at this point i'm hoping Granger can be a bench sparkplug, like he was in the Toronto and Clipper games. I like him as a starter if there were more time, but it isn't worth shuffling the starting lineup if he's only back with like 10 games to go. If he's hot he'll be the one finishing games with the other starters anyhow.

I think (and hopefully i'm right) that he was just referring to George Hill with that, because otherwise it's nuts. No way I would trade just Paul George for him, let alone Hill and George.

Not trying to be nit-picky/a dick, but that wasn't a career game for Roy. Wasn't close. Was his highest scoring output of the season (by a couple points) but that was far from a memorable/career night.

And Stiemsma is actually a very good defensive center. I'll give you Cunningham and Johnson

Here's the point, though: Roy has average 13/7/54% of late. That's winning basketball for the Pacers. When Roy defends as well as he has been, AND plays efficient offense...we're tough to beat. David drawing defenders out, freeing up Hibbert for shots and the wings for rebounds. PG and Hill being killer from deep. Lance slashing. Finally, FINALLY, this team is able to be effective offensively in multiple ways.

Watching Rubio with the ball is like watching an artist create a work of art. His passing is just unbelieveable. He's a magican with the ball. I can understand why Kahn drafted and waited on him to come to the NBA!

I believe Bird made a comment that Rubio was the best passer he'd seen since Magic.

You had a Rubio to Luke pass that got him a scoop floater around the 9 min mark of the 3rd, and as far as I remember and can tell via PxP and chart that's the ONLY shot in the paint that wasn't a rebound putback attempt off a missed jumper. There were two shots in the paint that were blocked by Roy and Ian (Ian's smash of Cunningham's shot). There was also one scrambling play where IIRC the ball kicked around and Cunningham got a shot coming to the rim at the end of the clock.

But for basically the entire 3rd and some of the 4th the Wolves basically gave up any attempt to score in the paint as a primary attack.
The TWolves Frontcourt is basically decimated with KLove, Pekovic and AK47 out. When the closest thing that you have to a Center is Greg Steisma, Dante Cunningham and Derrick Williams.....I'm not surprised that they basically resorted to jacking up jumpshots.

I'm aware it wasn't a career game for Hibbert, BUT it should have been is what I'm saying.

Sorry that I can't get overjoyed about this win as it was against the bottom dweller T-Wolves who only had 9 players. A win is a win, and that is all it was... a win against a very weak team. A team the Pacers are suppose to defeat. I'll get excited when the Pacers beat teams like the ones they have lost to recentlly such as the Clippers, Boston, and Miami. The Miami spanking was very distrubing to me after beating them twice earlier. It wasn't so much losing to Miami as how Miami beat the Pacers.

The Pacers still have games against the Lakers, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Houston, Clippers, OKC, Brooklyn, Knicks, and Boston. I want to see how the Pacers play against them. If the Pacers can go 6-3 against these teams, I'll get excited and joyous then.

Paul George and George Hill seems like a hefty price to pay for Ricky Rubio.

Kobe will be out against the Lakers, so plonk them into your "doesn't count" list. I'm sure there will be an excuse for the other teams as well.

The Pacers are the luckiest team in the league. We only play teams that are short-handed or tired or playing injured.

I kept wondering if watching him would have been like watching Pistol Pete, without him dropping another 20pts to go along with it. That behind the back pass into the corner as he was moving out towards the top of the key looked simple, but downright amazing.

This is my very concern if Danny does make it back. I would rather he definitely be finishing games or just on the bench.

But if he makes a few shots in one game, they will let him finish. That leaves Lance wondering what his role is. That leaves the starters not knowing if they will finish. I just don't like the uncertainty.
