That does seem tempting.
Hibbert + OJ + DJ
for
Perkins + PJ3 + Jackson + Lamb + Toronto 1st
You could then try later to trade some of those young assets for a young C.
I still think Hibbert will snap out of his offensive funk soon though. He looks like he's already starting to break out of it.
Essentially, they trade Harden+Jackson+PJ3 for Hibbert. Yuck.
In the end, I think that Hibbert's salary just makes it impossible. Even if you took Toronto 1st out of the deal to make it a bit more even, it still screws up OKC financially too much.Comment

Perkins is guaranteed a little over $25M in the next 3 years and is averaging 4.7 PPG and 5.1 RPG in 25.1 MPG. He has no semblance of offensive game and is a worse defender than Hibbert.
OKC would die for Hibbert. Same with Miami. He is an elite rim protector that can provide inside scoring and has an actual back to the basket game. That's exactly what both of those teams would. Don't you think that they value a player that is able to stop the penetration by LBJ / Wade or Westbrook / Durant respectively?
Plus, OKC wants to get rid of Perkins' contract badly. They want to get rid of it so bad that they could be willing to give some of their young prospects if that would mean that they could keep a core of Durant / Westbrook / Ibaka / Hibbert with Martin as a 6th man locked in for the next few years.
If we were in a rebuilding mode then I could agree with this deal. But we are in win now mode. Dispose of Hibbert and we aren't winning anything. Not even the Division. We would be stupid to do this deal at the moment.
PS: Oh and Hibbert is not in an awful contract. He is on a similar contract with Marc Gasol and they both are pretty comparable playersOriginally posted by IrishPacer

Lynn and the couple's remaining four children will be at Wednesday's game to offer more support to McHale.

It's more about his business life than anything, but still some cool stuff.
Anyone else find it weird that he's an IU alum, obviously a sports fanatic, but far as I know isn't involved in Bloomington at all? Not saying he should be T. Boone Pickens or anything, but still.Comment

Haha Monroe about knocked Daye out with a chest bump after Daye's clutch 3. Besides that shot there was lots of choking going on in the last minute. Smith missed two free throws and a 3, the rookie let Horford walk to the rim before being fouled, then Horford missed the game winning free throw. Damn good game though. Piston's killed it in the 4th, hope they pull it out.Comment

Alls well that ends well...on a night the Pacers get denied the opportunity to put a shellacking on a wounded Bulls team, the next best thing happens. The Pistons lose in somewhat heartbraking fashion. Ahhhh....feels good. The Most Common Cause of Stress is Dealing with IdiotsComment

In other news I truly believe the Wizards are just as bad as the Bobcats last season. I admit, they will probably win more games(slightly), but they are pitiful.
Don't get me wrong, it isn't like they have 50 win talent, but how on earth are they this bad? I mean they have some solid role guys (Ariza, Webster), a talented PG (though admittedly struggling/injured), lottery talent (Beal, Veseley,), rebounding (Booker, Okafor) and a guy in Crawford who can fill it up. They aren't a 50 win team, but they certainly have more than 10 win talent.Comment

Ariza, Booker, Wall, Nene, Okafor, and Price have all been injured through significant portions of the season. (And are either not playing because of it or playing through it and it's effecting them...) They aren't that talented to begin with, but they were absolutely decimated by injuries.@WhatTheFFacts: Studies show that sarcasm enhances the ability of the human mind to solve complex problems!Comment
