Man....I wish that the Pacers somehow got Carl Landry.....he's the perfect backup PF...he has a good midrange game, decent rebounder for a undersized PF, great Free Throw shooter and a great finisher. What's worse is that the Warriors got him for $4mil a year with a Player Option for next year. If there were ever a Player that Hansbrough could model his game after....it's Landry.Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.Comment

Damn DC is looking really good in Dallas. Just handling business, and really proving the doubters wrong. Quite happy for him.You can't get champagne from a garden hose.Comment

The Harden trade is the classic case of team who gets the best player wins the trade. Especialy true with superstars. I think this will end up being a huge deal in OKC especially if they don't win a title or make it to the finals in the next two years. I think you will see Durant or Westbrook leave and I think you'll be able to trace it back to this. That was kind of a point I tried to make in the original thread. This could have a really far reaching impact in the OKC franchise not just what happens on the court.Comment

Houston "won" the trade, but it was never about that for OKC. It was about the CBA. They were either trading him, or letting him walk for nothing. You do have to give Presti some credit for getting more out of Harden than Orlando could get for Howard. Now if you want to argue they should have kept Harden instead of Ibaka, you won't hear any arguments out of me.Comment

That wasn't an option. Even without Perk they would have had $60 million plus per year tied up in 4 players. Then they need to pick up a new center, and starting cailber centers do not come cheap. Replacing Perk with "random journeyman center" saves them $5 mil a year max, and still has them pressed into the luxury tax.Comment

In the end, it's a question of keeping Harden or more flexibility, and to me that would've been Harden.Comment
